The mainstream media and Democrat pols could barely contain their glee at student walkouts demanding gun control. They attach all kinds of virtue to innocents spouting the propaganda they feed them, and even coerce them into demonstrating for.
Only one small problem: they have, in the immortal words of Professor Kingsfield in The Paper Chase, skulls full of mush.
They think there aren't any guns in the White House.
Their magical thinking leads them to believe that gun free zones are safe zones, apparently.
On Facebook, David Baker spotted this gem, that reveals a poverty of knowledge:

I wonder if Donald Trump and Mike Pence pack?
The democrats are always great at creating boogeymen..the NRA is perfect for them.
I think we should call guns muskets. Sounds cuter, friendlier and kinda cuddly. Perfect for the snowflakes.
muskrat
"Moron Baby"
Mush is exactly what they’re teaching in public schools today.
As the kids did not walk out, but were escorted by the teachers, this was not a student protest, but a NEU teachers union walkout, who “borrowed” everybody’s kids for a field trip as useful idiots.
I wonder, did they have the normal parental permission slips for a field trip, or are they guilty of kidnapping?
The question I often ask is, “How many mass school shootings have been done by the NRA?”
Answer: None.
But it is an outrage for the NRA to lobby for their members?
The logic of the lefties befuddles me.
As a lifetime frequent visitor of DC, I can't tell you the number of times I've seen black-clad snipers pop up out of nowhere, silhouetted against the White House or staged along the roof tops of the White House complex. Often it is when someone is scheduled to arrive or depart, whether our leaders or foreign officials. And don't even try to enter the WH grounds or building without seeing a massive display of security procedures.
Yeah, take a look at that pic in #5 - talk about oxyMORONIC!
Hope the students who have recently become so emotional over guns look back as time passes on the tragedy and the “analysis” and demonstrations that occurred afterwards.
I hope they come to my conclusion, namely, that there’s a price to be paid for citizen gun ownership but a larger price if it were to be prohibited.
“As a lifetime frequent visitor of DC, I can’t tell you the number of times I’ve seen black-clad snipers pop up out of nowhere, silhouetted against the White House or staged along the roof tops of the White House complex.”
And they’re just the ones you see.
No telling how many armed badasses are on the White House grounds at any given time.
Not a place to try your luck.
Just a couple of weeks ago they were eating Tide Pods and now they want to lecture us about guns?
But can they top “You Can’t Hug Your Kids With Nuclear Arms” and “It Will Be A Great Day When Our Schools Get All the Money They Need And The Pentagon Has To Hold A Bake Sale To Buy A Bomber”?
Good point. One time I was standing on a curb freeping Code Pink on the other side of the street, when a police officer approached me and asked if I had just had an x-ray. I asked him why (I had) and he said I had made his radiation meter go off.
DC! Unlike any other place.
I guess I'm lucky he didn't throw me to the ground.
I know a guy who works in the White House, a permanent position, not one that changes with administrations.
I asked him what his job was.
“I can’t tell you.”
What is security really like?
“I can’t tell you.”
Is there anything you can tell me?
“It’s a cool place to work.”
This is a guy with no college, no military experience and no Law Enforcement experience.
It’s amazing that a recent X-ray would set off the cops detector.
