Police officers are not welcome as customers at one East Oakland cafe, according to a report by local television station.
A post to that cafes Instagram account Feb. 22 showed a crossed-out Oakland police seal and badge below the words Habla con tu vecinxs no con la policia.
The post said an Oakland police officer walked into Hasta Muerte, 2701 Fruitvale Ave., on Feb. 16 and was declined service by a worker-owner because we have a policy of asking police to leave for the physical and emotional safety of our customers and ourselves.

Toxic masculinity? Anyhow hey dumb@ss your description of your neighborhood is why you want police in and around your business.
If they get robbed, they can call a community activist.
They could have saved money on the sign.
Just post: “Criminal Hangout”
The resolution can be quickly achieved by posting an officer with a video camera photographing every customer coming and going.
Of course since it is Oakland and not america, I don’t really give a damn
How can a public accomodation do that? What happened to “Bake me a cake or else!” But it’s probably not a good idea to get food or drink from such a place!
The closest restaurant to this place should hang out a big sign: “Police Officers Welcome - Special Discounts”
“Oakland”
That’s all I needed to read to know it was going to be some freak fest of stupidity on display.
Where’s the ACLU. You can bet your ass if they were refusing to sell coffee to a gay party it would be all over this!!!
Sounds like a nice place for ICE to visit weekly.
What if the police officer is “trans-gender”?
Terminate the business license and utilities. Post a
health department warning on the door.

I’m not a lawyer, but here’s what I think the deal is. It’s all about being a member of a legally protected class, or not. You can’t deny service based on race, for example. That’s because race is a legally protected class. But your job type is not a legally protected class.
So I guess you can deny service to a cop, just because he’s a cop.
> But its probably not a good idea to get food or drink from such a place! <
You’ve got that right. Better to be denied service than be poisoned.
Oakland is known as little Africa, so why is it a surprise they would hate law enforcement officers?
Hasta Muerte Coffee Yelp review:
One star
Terrible coffee and terrible pastries. It feels less like a local coffee shop and more like an Antifa stronghold. Any moment I felt like a herd of masked socialist LARPers would walk in and start attacking an innocent trash can.
This establishment is ran by SJW cucks who are anti police. They have a strict policy where they don’t serve police officers. These are the same kind of people who talk about unity and coming together as a community and yet they enforce discriminatory policies. Sad!

Prime robbery target.
Not wishing physical harm, but they could use a real good scare from some robbers each and every day for the next two weeks.
From their webpage...

We will serve snacks and have a library of specialized books, we hope to provide a warm and inclusive environment for friends and neighbors to gather. Notice what they would only say in spanish?
.
WHAT COUNTRY did this take place in?
Sounds like a good place for ICE to visit.
Apparently, they hate transgender cops, too.
Mexifornia.
