National Observance yes, National Holiday no.
The president is supposed to mark the birthday of Stephen Foster (no day off, just an observance)....if it happens it is very low on the news radar.

I want a holiday for Joel Osteen... and his wife.
For or from?

I think that Billy graham would not want this because his center has always been god and the relationship one has with god....he would see all of this as a distraction from god...if we were to do anything he would want us have a day celebrating god being involved in are political leaders lives.

What? Billy Graham would probably say this is a stupid idea. Graham would want the country to remember and point to Christ rather than himself.

Were I still hiring, I’d immediately eliminate any fool that dared to use such foolish excuses for English in an interview.
On the other hand, since I was hiring for very complex signal progressing and radar tasks, there was virtually no chance anyone getting through the door would have been subjected to instructors and courses demonstrating such idiocy.

Actually, I like the idea of combining it with the federal Martin Luther King Holiday as an honoring of great American Religious leaders, maybe add Bishop Fulton Sheen.

Oops, replied to wrong string.
Please forgive.
I love Billy Graham, and would not insult him for the world.

Why does MLK rate a national holiday and George Washington doesnt?
Its called kowtowing to a specific tribe to keep them from burning villages down. Happens all the time.

Merge it with MLK Day and call it Christian Visionaries Day (not unlike how we got President’s Day) ... watch heads on the Left explode.

On the other hand, the more time off they get, the less damage they can do to the country. That's why I don't get upset when I hear about bureaucrats surfing for porn all day.
Hell, I'd pay to send 'em all a case of Kleenex.

The best way Christians can honor the Rev. Billy Graham is to do what he did: Share the GOOD NEWS - JESUS saves!
