Do away with King or Presidents day. Put Graham in their place. I like Washington’s day not presidents day.
Next thing ‘them’ people will want a day for the Big Towelhead in Hell.
“Combine it with MLK day and call it Religious Leaders Day.”
Good idea. Call it “Reverands’s Day.”
“Enough holidays already. Take back MLK day and give back separate days for Washington and Lincoln. Then stop it.”
Yes!
It’s a bad idea, but an unintended consequence would be that it would royally piss off the libs. It might be worth it for that alone.
Agreed, one suspects that he might have said that it's not about him.
.
No. There are too many holidays for federal and state employees as it is.
In honor of Billy Graham we should trim down the Federal Holidays to New Years Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, and Veterans Day.
If you want a religious holiday take the day off. That includes Thanksgiving.
Don’t get me wrong, but govt employees take a lot of time off through the federal “holiday” scam.
I work in the finance industry. I enjoy rubbing Columbus Day, Veterans Day, MLK Day and Washington’s Birthday in my friends faces. I can always use another holiday to gloat over.
Uhm, no. But thanks for praying.
How about “Bring your Bible to Work/School day”, mirrored after the ‘bring you daughter to work day’?
The Good Reverend would approve of that I’m sure.
So they can take their limo to the shopping mall?
I like that, they ruined Washington and Lincoln's birthdays years ago, seems fair if we are to call out presidents on a day, that we do same with our religious leaders--plus it makes it more inclusive, more sensitive to diversity, etc.
I guess you are opposed to an Obama Holiday, then?
no
There is only one man who IMHO rises to the level of a national holiday - George Washington.
Presidents day should be dropped, and the focus should be on Washington - the Father of the nation, and a man of great character. The many presidential failures of the recent past should not even be mentioned at the same time as Washington.
Can we trade Rev. WFG for Rev. MLK?
No. From someone who shares his faith and even his denomination and thinks highly of him. No.
