Be careful about checking age or the FBI will come after you for violating child labor laws.

A couple minutes ago, it was pouring BUCKETS over here on the peninsula. Giant drops! Squalled for about 15 minutes, now stopped and sun poking through. Started raining about midnight and it is supposed to continue until tonight at midnight. YAY!!

Everything is greening up nicely.

Hike at Almaden Quicksilver scheduled for yesterday morning was cancelled.

The January warm spell had everybody squawking “DOOM!” but, fortunately, not so much “I TOLD you global warming is real.”

It’s normal California winter weather.

Global warming. Antarctica is having a heat wave and all the ice is being displaced to California. It’s also very hot—don’t touch it. When it melts sea levels will rise and go on a polar bear killing spree. In open defiance, the mayor of Oakland has invited more snow into California, regardless of the climate impact.

Baloney, the drought is permanent. Uncle Jerry said so. So let it be written, so let it be done.

Too much Global Warming. They predicted no snow in California by 2020 ten years ago.

The sad thing is that they could build up three or four reservoirs and catch all of this for some man-made lake and it’s be their reserve in bad droughts.

Hey, Ca. Residents , you’re not supposed to Belly Sky down all the new snow with your mouth open wide or closed; you’re just plain not supposed to belly slide!

Yeah Donner Party stuff! Alpine Meadows reported a record 29 inches in 12 hours. Some locations reported 4 inches per hour last night.
Dumb luck for me and the wife - vacation planned at the Lake starting tomorrow!
Your storm totals are a bit low - some 3 day totals:
Squaw - 72”
Alpine - 76”
Kirkwood - 75”

Last year dams were bursting and reservoirs overflowing and they still claimed to be in a drought (while they were emptying the reservoirs).

Like most things that involve progressive, what they claim something is about is never about that.

They use all crisis to shape the people the way they want things to be. The drought (and global warming) are just tools to beat the population into submission.

As with the heavy snows and runoff in the Sierras last year, the problem isn’t precipitation. The problem is storage. CA just lets it all flow to the ocean instead of building dams.

Stupid creates its own set of obstacles.
