Most Think Obama White House Spied On Trump Campaign, Want Special Counsel: IBD/TIPP Poll
Investor's Business Daily ^ | 2/5/18

Spying On Trump: Americans overwhelmingly believe the Obama administration "improperly surveilled" Donald Trump's presidential campaign, and a majority say they would like to see a special prosecutor appointed to look into possible misconduct by the FBI and Department of Justice in spying on Trump, the latest IBD/TIPP poll shows.

One fact emerges from the poll of 900 people conducted from Jan. 25 to Feb. 2: The public doesn't necessarily buy into the Democratic narrative that the Trump campaign "colluded" with Russia to tamper with the 2016 presidential election.

The poll also suggests that many Americans think the roots of the allegations made against Trump extend beyond the two major party campaigns in the last presidential election and deep into the Obama era's intelligence and law enforcement bureaucracies, and may involve active political bias on the part of supposedly nonpartisan employees of both the Justice Department and FBI.

In the IBD/TIPP survey of public opinion, we asked respondents "How closely are you following news stories about the role played by the FBI and the Department of Justice during the 2016 presidential election?"  Of those who responded, 72% said they were following the story either "very closely" (39%)  or "somewhat closely" (33%). Our responses were taken only from those who were following the story closely.

Some 55% of those said it was "likely" that the Obama administration "improperly surveilled the Trump campaign during the 2016 election." There was an obvious partisan split among the responses, with 87% of Republicans and 55% of independents saying the improper spying took place, but only 31% of Democrats.

No surprise that Democrats are not paying attention to anything but their own talking points.

First you have to find an honest prosecutor who was not complicit in the Kenyanesian Usurpation.

There are none in the District of Corruption.

Why break into GOP HQs when you can use the FBI, NSA and the State Dept to spy on your political opponents?

NO!

NO MORE “Special Prosecutors!

That crap drags on years and years and Trump will have already served two terms when something is finally settled.

Drag evidence to DC sitting Grand Juries, get the witnesses under oath, no lawyers there to “coach” or claim 5th Amend. privileges, charge the guilty and have some public trials for all to see!

No more secrecy behind the Wizard’s curtain!

There’s enough on the FBIs at top to charge the lot of them and get some trials going!

Enough DC games, dammit, these people work for US, which they seem to forget!!!

“Rudy! Rudy!”

I don’t think Rudy is up to the job. We need a trusted younger person, like Tom Fitton or one of the others who are suing the $hit out of the the DOJ and FBI to get FOIA info. We don’t need another Jeff Sessions!

Rudy has retired

A new very aggressive prosecutor is required.

That’s what we have a department of justice for. The current special prosecutor is as partizan as they come so impartiality is not really an issue.

Finding a jury that will convict is going to be the problem

"saying the improper spying took place"

Very dangerous wording from the word smiths.

None of this spying was proper or legal. It was purchased by politicians "A", laundered thru clever shadowy amorphous collectors, presented to a secret court as evidence to obtain warrants, and then used as a weapon before, during, and after an election against Politicians "B".

How the FISA court has not had a few dozen individuals rounded up and arrested for perjury and misleading the courts with false evidence is beyond my scope of expectations of such a court?
