I’m glad my parents were a lot like your parents.
Me, I finished my degree just as the the Obama recession was in full swing. I simply could not get a job or even a combination of jobs that would let me support myself. I was considering military service, but disabilities disqualified me from that.
So while I was job hunting, what both my parents and step-grandparents did was a combination of compassion and butt-kicking. They were willing to help bridge the gap for a while, but only if I showed them pay stubs showing that I was working or looking for work.
And now here I am, fully employed at a full-time job AND self-supporting, even with the start of a proper retirement fund. Life is good.
This was her epiphany. She heard the brass gong being struck by reality. This lady openly admits this one moment of kindness by the man has caused her to rethink her manner of resistance. Most libs I know find it very difficult to admit that they could be on the wrong tract. Small steps to enlightenment.

Reminds me of my mainframe programming days. Programs that encountered certain processing situations would either ABEND (ABnormally END) or get into a failed never-ending loop that resulted in the computer getting stuck, repeating the same actions over and over. I’d have to put the lefties in the latter situation, but the former would be preferable.

MANY Americans believe critical thought is to listen to the scum on TV and believe what you are told to believe. The question becomes WHO DO YOU LISTEN TO?
A typical liberal loves CNN.
A typical conservative is more likely to listen to the FOX babes read the "news." Whether it be the JFK assassination or Trump peeing on a bed, many Americans believe what they are told to believe.
In truth, the correct answers are right in front of us. JFK was killed by a powerful conspiracy and President Trump was lied about by a Hillary Clinton paid for scam that was then used by the gubermint to go after the President.
The woman is confused. Her story is more about Jesus than Trump.
