I am posting this because it needs to be discussed right now in light of the fact that Democrats are willing to shut down the country to enhance the rights of illegal aliens.
In 1998, I was winding down my career as a Coast Guard reservist. Completing one of my remaining Search and Rescue watches, I recall this conversation with and Ensign who was visiting the Commcenter. She had been assigned to a USCG cutter during the Haitian migration. This cutter was assigned to intercept the boatloads of Haitians who were trying to migrate illegally to Florida in hazardous conditions. The potential illegal immigrants were being rescued from the hazardous conditions and being returned to Haitai.
The Ensign told me that potential illegal immigrants who had been taken on board and were pregnant, were having sex on the deck of the cutter with the hope that the sexual intercourse would induce labor so that the baby would come while on US territory (Coast Guard Cutter) thereby setting the anchor and providing a pathway into the country for the whole family.
Why is this phenomena not being discussed? Isn't this a perversion of the constitution that would make you and I, the US taxpayer financially responsible for immigration under these conditions.
If no one tells us, how can we know ?

I have no doubt that what she told me was correct. She was just stating the facts.
Now, does the fact that the baby is born onboard make him or her a US citizen, or is this just something the potential illegal aliens believed?
"All persons born in the United States are citizens."
But it doesn't! It says:
"All persons born in the United States, and subject to the jurisdiction thereof, are citizens"
If you cross here illegally, you do not fit that clause.
And does anyone doubt that Haiti is a SH country? It is certainly populated by a lot of S. Animals.
They could have a better country if they would stay home and demand it.
You may be right but you are also being wishful. The 14th Amendment has been used, abused and misconstrued since 1868. The left and their ingrate followers have been abusing this for decades.
It is not in the Constitution it is in the Amendments of course.
Sounds like in this case, the 14th Amendment is being misapplied.
The 14th Amendment should not have ever been. Instead of an Amendment it should have been a law or bill. Have you studied it?

I can not attest to the above information, however the last time I was on a det in the navy reserves was a Haitian vacation, where we intercepted boats leaving the island, pretty bizarre mission.

Ok, so substitute given birth for procreate, and you will get the message.
Actually it isn't but since it has never been adjudicated, just mentioned in a footnote, it has just been implemented by morons and continues uncorrected by those same morons.
