They should hand out awards for hypocrisy, preening, and lack of self-awareness.
On Golden Globes night, Hollywood preened in front of its black mirror as usual, but the degree to which it was blind to what was obvious to all observers was stranger than ever. It was like that time the pear-shaped Homer Simpson looked at his reflection and saw a torso rippling with musculature.
What was the most crystalline moment of self-unawareness?

Meryl Streep -
Oprah. The way they reacted to her.
Definitely the “#metoo” posturing crap.
What? Must have missed what ever it was.
Oprah spelled backwards is harpo as in harpocrit.
“It was like The National Association of Knife-Safety Awards Presented by O. J. Simpson.”
ROFLMAO! *SMIRK*
But what isn't being mentioned as yet another example of the Hollywood hypocrisy is that as Seth Unfunny is making cutting jokes at Kevin Spacey's (alleged seeker of underage boys) expense, he and his audience are joyful at the nominations for best whatever of "Call Me By Your Name", a film about an adult male seducing an underage boy.
Except the movie is billed as a wonderful "gay coming of age" story.
I truly wonder what Mr. Spacey (and I am no fan ... he's a painfully idiotic lib who's overblown acting stank on "House of Cards") is thinking now of his brethren in the industry who have mocked him, as a group, on national television.
That was a hell of a great article. Really nailed all the hypocrisy.
LMAO that Tonya Harding was in attendance. Really highlighted the absurdity of it all.
I too missed it - intentionally, of course.
Great rap by Kyle.........nice slap at intersectional gender parity mouthed by Debra Messing.
I would love to know whose money was behind the Golden Globes (actually, that name even suggests the male anatomy).
Because the accusers of Weinstein were not invited and the liberal old crones were there in force.
I think they are paid uncle tom’s, so to speak.
The instantaneous “Oprah for President” buzz - in response to a hypocritical speech consisting largely of platitudes - was bizarre. Oprah is extremely wealthy, a celebrity, has no political experience, and has often supported fringe ideas or practices. Trump has often been blasted for the very same things, yet all of these things are ignored in the case of Oprah.
I quit watching when Allison Janney tried to raise Tonya Harding onto a pedestal.
More than I could stomache.
Hard to choose.... Shame, I liked Connie Britton in Friday Night Lights...
LOL.
