No remorse, no guilt, no sympathy. I won’t say no feelings though.
There is only one way to end this cycle of feral hominids. Some hard decisions need to be made and some mistakes will be made at the same time but it has to be done.
And these are empty words because neither I or we can do a single thing and nobody else will and the system, whatever that is, will not allow us.

I think you are wrong. He knows what he did and he knows it is wrong. Even a child knows when he has done wrong.
He is like a untrained, unrestrained, willful animal. Dangerous. We put those kinds of animals down. The lives of the good outweigh their value.
I struggle so hard (spiritually) with situations like this. I just don’t have the capacity to tolerate things of this sort; i hope i can get a grip someday.
I agree. I really should stop reading these stories and watching crime shows, though. I get really depressed. One last night about a serial killer in S. Carolina was particularly awful. It makes me think we never really know people and that you can’t trust anyone. *sigh*
The problem is too big for CPS to effectively manage even if they were competent. It has grown too big and there is no end to it.

Yes, it was. I woke up early and couldn’t get back to sleep thinking about it. As they mentioned in the show, just think of the number of people who went with him to look at real estate. Yikes!

I know the cartoon refers to pedophiles, but it’s the same category: people who willfully do irreparable harm to children.
I agree. And here’s the rub. Because of the harm he has done to these children, they are at risk of following, to some degree, in his footsteps. Which begs the question: If one of them follows in his teaching and does the same thing in a couple of decades, do we then respond to them as we are responding to him. And this begs yet another question: Are we already doing just that with him?
My perspective is that he needs to be “put down” because of what he did and his risk to his fellow man. But rather than anger at him, I feel great sadness for him as well as those he hurt. My anger is reserved for the actions rather than the person performing them. I truly hate the sin people perform. I feel sadness for the people performing the sin.
I guess it’s kinda how I would feel if one of my own kids went nuts and cut up her own husband.
I’m sure people have behaved far worse than what this man did. At least he did not cut anyone up and eat them, or malevolently torture anyone for the sheer pleasure of it. If I had to guess, I’d say he did it all in anger.
