Who buys an eighth of a gram?

Is this "industry" going to be the only one in the United States operating within the metric system?

"Black market will bury the state run business."

Exactly. Just how in the heck is the state going to stop people from growing their own since this is for recreational use, not medical use, the latter requires some sort of doctor to write a "prescription"? This self-grown dope is going to create a big loss for so-called tax revenue. There's no way to stop people from growing a few plants or even a small garden. I can see the state dope patrol now: shades of Elliot Ness and the years of booze prohibition in which you could drink booze, but you couldn't possess it! California is run by a cadre of morons.

It’s a nuance lost on the rabid

Who although never having smoked it are experts cause they know about someone
Most folks I know smoke weed to some degree

They do fine

It’s far less a threat hay effing alcohol which is celebrated here by some who are daily drinkers admittedly

It’s ridiculous

The only thing more hysterical are pit bull threads

I guess it could happen but here in WA State, one backyard neighbor of mine smoked once at a barbecue a couple of years ago and that was it. Have never again been aware of pot’s presence. These are also mostly working class neighbors. Pot in public, at parks and what not, is still illegal and would be enforced (at least in my town).
