When teens arent busy having illegal Ikea sleepovers or jumping into zebra exhibits at the zoo for love, sometimes they find time to flock to the malls of New Jersey, where they kick doors and run up escalators the wrong way.
As NBC-10 reports, between 700 and 1,000 teens created such a disturbance at the Cherry Hill Mall in southern New Jersey the day after Christmas. Fellow shoppers were reportedly frightened as the teens moved around nonsensically, and a few fights even broke out.
Kids [were] running up and down the escalator the wrong way, so they shut them off, but they just kept going up and down, one horrified witness told NBC-10. Another, speaking with WPVI, recalled, They were shaking on the doors, kicking the doors. The kids outnumbered the adults ten to two. It was bad.
Police arrived around 7:30 p.m. to disperse the crowd, and five juveniles were eventually charged with disorderly conduct, resisting arrest, and other offenses.

Doesn’t matter what you do. People will just steal packages from your porch.
Um-hmm...
This happened to at least one of my packages, but it's USPS's fault because these bastards knock as silently as they can, do not wait even a single second, then drop the package right at my door in a neighborhood filled with illegal aliens and the anti-technology Amish, the latter of whom wage a constant war against civilization.
I feel certain that these 1,000 innocent “juveniles” were just stretching their legs and taking a break from preparing their master’s and doctoral theses at Rutgers, Seton Hall and Princeton.
,,,,,, they’re called “FERAL youth” by any definition .
I can’t remember the last time I bought something at a mall.
Well they arrested 5 thugs
That oughta be a lesson to the other 995
Were their fathers called?
It has been happening for many years even out here in Flyoverville. The old "shopping center" or "plaza" of the early '60's that sucked traffic from the parking-metered mess of downtown gets bought by some outfit from Ohio or New Jersey; it gets roofed over, expanded and called a "mall." The rents go way up and make local businesses fold, leaving a collection of mediocre national chains or undercapitalized businesses which fold and end up leaving an empty space. Things are bad enough without the "teen" factor, which makes people either avoid the place or do a buy-and-dash regardless of what retailers are left there.
Now, if we need an asian "day spa," hair extensions, glamour nails, gaudy cell phone cases, eyebrow painting, next-day clothing alterations or just want to mix with "teens" having poor manners and worse attitudes, the local mall is still the place to go.
Hominids.
They are sicko kids ( sanitized comment) but no matter if driven by parents or took bus, unless you see difference?
:)
Malls already are dying a slow agonizing death.
You give them too much credit, Matt ... “ a few weeks “ more like less than 72 hours and with via social media, it’ll be chaos and food raids into nearby gentrified areas.
I seem to recall the idea of a pickup truck, sandbags, and a prepared bed ...
Map the intersections now. ;-)
They were trying that at the Galleria in Hoover (Birmingham) AL. Someone bemoaned that busses didn’t run from Bessemer to the Galleria and so the old people in Bessemer were being denied the opportunity to shop there or some such nonsense. Bessemer is a high percentage AA. I never did find out what happened with it, but there are lots of AA youths in there on Friday, mostly well behaved, but then again it made national news on Black Friday when police had to shut the place down due to fighting. I wouldn’t go in there at all if the fast Chinese place wasn’t fairly priced and decent, and the Lego store wasn’t there.
For reference there were two malls in Irondale that longtime residents of the Birmingham metro area tell me the downfall came when they starting running busses from feral areas. I saw one in its death throes when I moved here. It’s closed now. The other was demolished and a Walmart built in its place. The Walmart is one of those big nice ones, with dyed concrete floors, but you can tell by the way stuff is arranged especially in the pharmacy dept that they still have a major shrink problem.

I go to the local Mall exactly once a year.
Early December I go with my daughter to a store my wife likes and get her Christmas presents. 30 minutes tops.
Oh those zany kids....
I’ve actually had people tell me their groups have practiced that pickup truck method.
In Northern Virginia, you can have your packages delivered to a lock box in a local grocery store
Hah — didn’t see you had posted that already (per my reference to pickup trucks with shooter’s beds).
People NEED to read this piece, and take heed.
My only amendment is to recommend you accelerate the timeline of the mob actions (social media) AND also the targeting of specific businesses (social media) enabled by on-site reconnaissance.
The ‘teens’ will have targets in mind when they go kinetic, and the will be outside their normal AO.
