Walter Jones might have a problem over his vote.

The rest of them are from Rat states.
No big deal. Had plenty of votes to pass without them.

They shouldn't be punished if their votes were needed to pass the Bill.

It is the Democrats who force their members to commit political suicide.

Well, Issa...we knew that.

“It is a popular delusion that the government wastes vast amounts of money through inefficiency and sloth. Enormous effort and elaborate planning are required to waste this much money.”

The whole idea of government is this: If enough people get together and act in concert, they can take something and not pay for it.

Jones is more of a constitutional conservative. His vote would have been on the basis of deficit reduction, and not a desire to keep taxes high.

They voted no because their constituents taxes will go UP because the rinos like ryan gave a huge tax break to their corporate donors paid for by middle class. If you are in a high tax state you will likely see a tax increase. No one who voted for trump voted for an increase. They should have just done an across the board tax cut for everyone, that way no one has to be screwed to pay for someone elses tax cut. But no, the swamp had to make the tax cut 75% a corporate tax cut and 23% individual tax cut. And by the way, the corporate cut is permanent, while the individual tax cut disappears in 5 years, thereby guaranteeing that the middle class will once again foot the entire bill for this cut.

Someday enough people will recognize these kind of votes for the political calculation they are, and it will turn around and backfire on the congress critters.

Understandable. A SALT cap of $10,000 won’t cut in in those states, except maybe North Carolina.

Of course King’s going to be angry. Some of his constituents pay $25,000 or more in State and Local Taxes.

“Walter B. Jones of North Carolina”
North Carolina?”

I have to agree. What is that all about?

That’s why I don’t like such “covert spending” bills, although this one does modestly cut taxes for most people. Once you hear “how do we pay for this cut or that cut”, you know they are not putting us first.

“No use putting them in a position to lose their seats.”

If they are not going to stay in line with the GOP who supported them financially and campaign wise, then losing their seat to someone else won’t mean anything as they are going to vote against the party as it is. The GOP knew the importance of this bill, and the twelve that bailed out knew it in the best interest of the people they were elected to represent and wished to have happen. And to still vote the way they did after they knew the bill was passed, is not to be ignored. I had rather they have abstained. They are an embarrassment to the GOP.

I, for one, and I think many, are tired of seeing the GOP hide under the table when it comes to doing what is needed and not what may get you re-elected. This line of excuses for not doing their job is unacceptable. You’ll notice it didn’t bother the libs to vote straight down “no” on it. See them making excuses? Please don’t accept kicking it down the road anymore and letting Trump down with your support. He’s earned it.

NY and NJ do not shock me. If there was only some way to remove those tumors from the country along with MA, RI, and CT.

These appear to be wealthy districts in mostly blue states where the taxpayers get shafted with enormous state and local taxes.

No reason to punish them. These are in vulnerable House districts, and they were permitted to vote against the bill because their votes weren't needed.

It's pathetic how shallow and ignorant some Freepers can be.

This isn’t a Susan Collins or John McCain situation where they have cost us a vote victory and are blocking good legislation.

While they have opted to vote no here, on a bill that was important and close, they would more than likely vote with us.

At least some of these folks are solid Conservatives. Roherbacher is a good guy.

These folks live in Blue states and have to run for cover at times.

I’d rather keep their seats on our side.
