The Gold Rush boys won’t be happy if they’re forced to shut down. Gotta build that other dredge you know.

Maybe in cities until fallout dissipates or is cleaned up, but probably impossible in other places. If they determine fallout problem persists for an extend period of time, they may have to evacuate residents from the area eventually.
Anyway, the property value in impacted area will plummet and may not recover (probably in our lifetime.)

Alaska is not going to be attacked by N. Korea with ICBMS. If anything it’s likely to be a well coordinated multi-strike from modified Submarines and smuggled in stationary nuclear weapons.

Uhhh....I live in Big Lake, north of Wasilla, and there is ZERO news about this, and even if there was nobody will do anything except the whiny crybaby snowflakes in Anchorage.
Is there anything i can do to make, induce or suggest to Kimmy to yes, go right ahead and fire your missiles to Alaska.
Its really big, more than twice the size of Texas.

I have read some reports that state if you can stay indoors for the first 2 or 3 days, with windows covered with plastic and some other precautions, you substantially reduce your exposure to fallout. In long run may not change the inevitable health issues, but it is better than getting an an alert and attempting to evacuate where you get stuck on a road with other people and full exposure.
I think it is good to be prepared with water, food and medical supplies to shelter in place regardless—esp. in Alaska.

Prepper Ping - Alaska, prepare with supplies
Alaska urged to prepare for North Korean nuclear attack as residents told to have emergency stash of food and water, flashlights, and radios.
Alaska is being urged to prepare for a North Korean nuclear attack - amid fears that a warhead 'could reach residents in 20 minutes'.( emphasis mine)
Jeremy Zidek, from the states disaster planning team, urged locals to shelter in place should an attack happen.
Mr Zidek also warned that Alaska no longer retains bomb shelters and that there would be no new measures to deal specifically with the nuclear threat.
( and that should include all of us on continental US as well - emphasis mine).
