This claim from the protester is patently false. The Great Emancipator grew up in poverty and never owned slaves.
Not only that, but his debates with fellow Illinois statesman Stephen A. Douglas offer some of the clearest reasons for why the institution of slavery violated the American creed.

Let me get you up to speed then. Lincoln owned slaves. He bought them from Trump’s great-grandfather. Lincoln got the purchase money from the Russians. And this whole chain of events set off Global Warming.

Lincoln was the best example of Republicanism, which champions freedom for everybody, and freedom most of all from overbearing governments controlled by Socialist and Democrats... And if that do nothing Democrat General George B. McClellan had won in 1864, the South would still have slavery to this day, since his platform essentially called for the continuation of slavery in the South.
And if you really want to protest slavery, why not protest the slavery that exist to this very day in Africa, the Middle East and Asia... The stupidity of people who think that slavery ended when the north won the American Civil war is astounding. Slavery ended in America... Period!
As 'eyeamok' pointed out, not only are teh students showing a lot of stupidity, the administrators are contributing with their lack of courage and inability to inject some common sense.
They believe all white people owned slaves. They also believe all slaves were black. Liberals hate actual history, feel no need to be truthful either.y
