The German government has warned the US against withdrawing from the Iran nuclear agreement. US President Donald Trump is expected to decertify Tehran’s compliance with the 2015 deal in a White House speech at 12:45 p.m. (16:45 UTC) on Friday.
“We believe this agreement is an important instrument to prevent a nuclear-armed Iran,” German government spokesman Steffen Seibert said on Friday. “If … an important country like the United States comes to a different conclusion as appears to be the case, we will work even harder with other partners to maintain this cohesion,” he said.
German Foreign Minister Sigmar Gabriel on Thursday said that any move by US President Donald Trump’s administration to withdraw from the Iran nuclear deal would drive a wedge between Europe and the US. “It’s imperative that Europe sticks together on this issue,” Gabriel told Germany’s RND newspaper group. “We also have to tell the Americans that their behavior on the Iran issue will drive us Europeans into a common position with Russia and China against the USA.”
Despite countless warnings from global leaders and even from within his own administration, Trump is expected on Friday to unveil a new strategy on confronting Iran, which would include “decertifying” Iran’s compliance to the nuclear accord. The German whores just don’t want sanctions so they can sell things in Iran. Rank self interest is all this is.
The number one reason to scrap it is because it is an unconstitutional treaty. Next, because after 10 years they are allowed to build a bomb anyway in the treaty that was never ratified.

How ironic that the Germans finally locate their balls, then use them to threaten US.
There is a more fundamental problem here in play — developing countries getting nukes. NK and Iran are just the tip of the iceberg.
The US is not going to be able to stop this by itself. It is simply unsustainable for the US to bomb and invade every developing country that starts a nuke program.
The only way to stop this is for the developed countries to apply united pressure - complete isolation, embargos, etc Trump is not able to get others to go along with him on much of anything - either domestically or globally. One can blame these liberal turds for that. But it is what it is. Global pressure against these countries is probably not going to happen. I don’t see Iran or NK stopping their programs no matter what. Proliferation will continue and additional countries will start programs if they haven’t already.
We can’t count on being able to stop countries from developing nukes over the longer term. What we can do is increase our defenses, harden our infrastructure and increase our deterrence — amount and quality of nukes, defensive shield. MAD continues.
We need to tell the world that if they won’t go along with us on stopping nuclear proliferation then we will scrap arms treaties and build up our weapons to frightening proportions. Trump has been sort of suggesting that in his tweets.

Doubtful. The krauts were already fully fought to a stalemate in WWI, and were trapped by the British blockade. The only thing that let them hang on a little longer was when _they_ shuttled Lenin in a sealed train to Russia to unleash communism on the world and take Russia out of the war. But basically the story of Germany in WWI was they invaded into eastern France and essentially were held in a 60 mile band for the remainder of the war and fought to exhaustion and starvation at home.
WWII? Before Pearl Harbor, the Nazi army was already stopped at Moscow and the Soviets were in a counteroffensive. By the end of 42 Germany was stopped at Stalingrad. The Brits beat Rommel at El Alamein before we landed in North Africa in the Fall of 42. The rest of the war was a nearly continual fallback in the face of the Red army.
The Germans had no chance to ever prevail after fall of 42, even before we arrived. The Germans are doomed by their geography to lose every war they fight. And paradoxically, their Prussian blockheadedness also works against them.
German military prowess is far overstated.
