Last night’s game was pretty good towards the end. Neither team having a defense against two sputtering offense was Pop Warner football for grownups.

I hear ya. I had an opportunity to go to the game the other night at no cost, and I turned it down.
Note to NFL: When a former life-long Giants fan won't even pay $0 to see a game, you know you've fouled something up.

Perhaps its CALIFORNIA is really not a football state...............NFL teams in California should consider using Pesos for ticket transactions. That might help the California population attend games.

It’s sad to see. I’ve been a Cowboys fan for the last fifty years while being fond of the Giants, too. The cognitive dissonance takes some compartmentalizing. LOL

Barron Hilton owned the team, which played in LA for one year before Hilton moved the team to San Diego in 1961 where the Chargers played in Balboa Stadium (located behind my High School, San Diego High) for the next 7 years IIRC.
My friends and I used to love to watch Jack Kemp and Ron Mix practice, along with Lance Alworth (Bambi) who all of us girls drooled over. Our group remained close for years and we hated Sid Gilman FOREVER when he lost Jack Kemp on that stupid injury waiver SNAFU to "boo-boo-buffa-loo" over a jammed thumb.

California likes pro football. That’s why they have the USC Trojans.

It’s like the Chargers are the red headed step children of the NFL.

“How about they ship anyone disrespecting America out of the league?”
Better ratings if they allow team beatings on the sidelines.

these people are using we the taxpayers as the slaves we are....
because you know with the rich people...they do nothing unless there is an angle...
not sure what the angle is, but you can believe they'll all come out smelling like roses.

We are seeing the demise of this sport. Investing in any new stadium is careless. I have changed my habits as to not caring whether I see a game or not. Even my wife has stated that she hates to see the female commentators & I hate the pink crapola for next month - nothing at all against cancer. Now the kneeling, then any touching a QB gets a call, etc. I've learned that sports can be replaced - I've done it completely with the NBA & not missed it one iota.

The game last week at the StubHub Soccer Stadium that only seats 30M...There's the problem--having a stadium that seats 30 million in a state which has only 40 million people. No wonder they have trouble filling it.
To: C19fan
They need to the 49ers to LA and make it a threesome because after last night's game...they need an audience.

If I was told to give up the NBA,
I’d say, “Okay. But what’s the bad news?”

At this point why don’t they just build 50,000 seat stadiums on wheels?
To: x1stcav
I would agree it was their beginning...but the Chargers as a recognized brand and the AFL both developed together over the next few years as the AFL got better and reached parity, and all that happened with the Chargers in San DIego, which is where their roots are. It’s why everyone can’t stop calling them San Diego. It’s impossible to separate them. If Spanos wanted to move to LA, he should have changed the name.
Did you go to any games in 1960?

Actually, the NFL breaks down into three conferences.
The AFC, the NFC, and the SEC.

Why doesn’t the NFL just cut it out, and proceed with what their REAL agenda has been all this time?????
Time for the NFL to become a political musical.
