Used to live in the Middle East, where the blaring from the minaret would rouse me from a sound sleep at 5am. Incredible that this is permitted in Brooklyn. Do you think they would tolerate it for a minute if some church decided to clang its bells at the crack of dawn? It is a symbol of Muslim dominance. Be afraid people, be very afraid.

I did my firstntrip to the Middle East a few years ago...specifically to the UAE,which borders on Saudi Arabia and is very similar in every way to Saudi.Arriving at Dubai International at about 5AM the place was all but deserted and,to my surprise,they played the "call to prayer" over the speaker system (something I learned that they do nationwide).
I found it to be an interesting...maybe even pleasant...experience.
And,no...I'm not gonna convert and I'll never come to believe that it's not a savage death cult.

I have my doubts but the call to prayer said at the crack of dawn could be a tipping point. No way that is going to go down well if you aren’t muslim. I don’t care who you are.
