There is a park one quarter of a mile away. They have these great( /s ) public park nights in the summer. They play loud music all evening long, and then start a movie at 9:00pm.
Sometimes the events are Middle-Eastern themed of some sort, and you hear the typical Arabian bazaar type music for hours on end.
All of it sounds as if it was a Kasbah party in my next door neighbor’s yard.
I can make out the lyrics and dialogue clear as day with my windows and shade’s drawn. And this to just shy of 11:00pm.
I’ve tried to walk out on my balcony and record the noise, but my iPhone doesn’t pick it up very well.
I mention this because, for this lady to be able to record this call to prayer that well, and at that seeming level, it had to be much louder than we are hearing.
That must have been literally deafening in person.
