More Mexicans view the United States unfavorably than at any time in the past decade and a half. Nearly two-thirds of Mexicans (65%) express a negative opinion of the U.S., more than double the share two years ago (29%). Mexicans opinions about the economic relationship with their countrys northern neighbor are also deteriorating, though less dramatically: 55% now say economic ties between Mexico and the U.S. are good for their country, down from 70% in 2013.
This erosion of Mexicos goodwill toward the U.S. coincides with low approval of American President Donald Trump and one of his signature policies. An overwhelming 94% of Mexicans oppose Trumps proposed border wall and only 5% have confidence in him to do the right thing regarding world affairs, Trumps lowest rating among 37 nations polled in 2017. President Barack Obamas lowest rating in Mexico was 38%, in 2011. (For more on Americas image around the world, see U.S. Image Suffers as Publics Around World Question Trumps Leadership.)
Despite the negative shift in Mexican attitudes about the U.S., the share who believe that Mexicans who move to the U.S. have a better life has increased by 7 percentage points since 2015, reaching a level last seen in 2012.
A third of Mexicans say they would move to the U.S. if given the opportunity, a figure that has remained relatively steady since Pew Research Center began measuring in 2009. However, Mexicans express less of a willingness to live and work in the U.S. without authorization than they did in 2015, with only 13% saying that they would do so, down from 20% two years ago.
These are among the major findings from a Pew Research Center survey conducted among 1,000 respondents in Mexico from March 2 to April 10, 2017.

They’re right, the US is a terrible place to live.
Fine. Then leave.
What else is new?
Good. Maybe they’ll go somewhere else? [Nah]
I hope they think so negatively of the US that they lose their desire to “migrate” here.
If you “Mehicans” don’t like the USA, stay the F out....
I live in Mexico, I have MORE Mexican friends than Anglo Saxon. I seriously doubt the validity of the article. People are morphing and realize that Mexico needs their own version of a Donald Trump, someone who comes to power with all the machines.. someone who speaks truth and is beholden to no one.
They can have whatever stupid opinion they want..as long as they are having it while living in mexico and not the US.
Good. tired of their ceaseless leaching. Don’t like us? Go home.
Make that ‘Stay home’.
They hate us despite all the freebees.
DISPICABLE
I see them everyday they wish I would die.
Yep.
MAGA
Go away. And don’t come back some other day. Mexicans have a lot in common with dems. They don’t look favorably at America either.
Mexico needs to eradicate the cartels and corruption in government officials. That would be a start. I used to love to visit Mexico, but I don’t feel safe there anymore.
They want to turn the U.S. into Mexico, which makes one wonder why they left in the first place.
Theyre right, the US is a terrible place to live.

When the opportunity arises, I tell liberals and others that Mexico and Mexicans should be ashamed that so many of it’s people are compelled to leave Mexico and Mexico must work on improving conditions for it’s people. It lays the burden right back on them.
So what? Then GTFO.
The fantasy that Mexico is and was friendly to the United States was started when Walter Wriston, one of the first self announced globalists, of NYC First National Bank arranged for huge loans to Mexico to stabilize their pathetic monetary system.
Mexico has been antagonistic towards us from the outset and continued to be so through both World Wars. It is the only country after the War of 1812 to invade continental US.
‘Efem
Spend any time ,for instance, shopping, in San Antonio, and see if Mexicans like the US.
They do not respect the US. Americans treat Mexicans like they’re special. When I refuse to let them block traffic for their personal whims or to cut the line at the register the problem I encounter is the American shocked that I am so racist as to not allow this foreigner to walk all over me/us.
No one has told me why I have to treat these people with reverence.
This combat veteran has a lower status in Texas than a Mexican most places in Texas. Most people yawn when I clue them in on admission standards at any Texas college. Forget getting a scholarship.for the above average kid If theres no mexican ancestry
I want people to stop caring whether Mexicans like us. There is no reason for me, for us, to care
There’s an invasion going on and no one is allowed to speak out against it or to even admit it
