We tried that already. It resulted in the Opium Wars.

I can hear the pro-drug crowd now... Making this into a virtue.

If a man doesn't wish to impregnate, it's hard to see the harm.

For the sake of context - http://myfertilityfocus.com/alcohol-and-sperm-count/:

"Alcohol can be extremely harmful to the male reproductive system. It is toxic to the testicles and affects the all-important cells that are involved in making sperm and producing the male hormone testosterone. It also seems to affect hormone production at the level of the hypothalamus and pituitary gland in the brain.

"So not only does alcohol have a detrimental affect on the testicles themselves, it also upsets the delicate balance of hormones necessary for normal, healthy sperm production. [...]

"In one study, moderate alcohol consumption of 5 or more units a week (1 unit of alcohol was described as 1 beer, a glass of wine or 40ml of spirits), was found to be associated with decreased sperm count and sperm quality, although the effects were more obvious in men who typically drank more than 25 units a week. Hormone changes were also experienced at these levels of consumption."

You get one life. WHY do people want to spend it in the slow and stupid lane?

It's a bad idea - but (unless one has minor children) none of government's business. Just like getting into the slow and stupid alcohol lane.

the drug makes sperm 'mellow' causing it to 'swim in circles'.

Not just the sperm, but it makes the pothead's brain and thoughts do the same thing.

LOL!

Northern Hemisphere or Southern? They’re probably opposite directions.

True, but I will never understand it - aside from people who have experienced something so bad they’d just as soon be dead.

Do they swim clockwise or counter clockwise?

That depends on whether the man is north of the equator or south of the equator.

And it kept them non-competitive.

Drugs do that to a country.

You know, like pot does here in the US.

Honestly, if you wanted to destroy a country that you compete with, just have their citizens smoke pot.

Exactly! This is what soros wants as he funds the initiatives to legalize smelly-assed weed.

And the soros-juana warriors (SJWs) go orgasmic over it.

I find that hard to believe given that from colonial hard cider drinkers on up to the heyday of Appalachian moonshine production it wasn’t unusual for people to have 10 to 18 kids...

Maybe the lack of electricity made up for the higher infertility of boozers since they’d have much more time to try in the long dark hours.

Do they also get the munchies?

Would caviar be at the top of the menu?

Actually, the result of the Opium Wars, if I understand it correctly, was opening China up to world trade.

My thought is, does the "stoned" sperm that does fertilize an egg, have an effect on that egg?

If that stoned effect goes farther than just our brains, but into our actual biology, then how far into our biology does it reach?

Since it's having an adverse effect on the "actions" of the sperm, does it also have adverse effects on the "actions" and reactions of the fertilized egg?
