As the skeletons come out of the closets and the rats leave the ship there will be a mad rush to be the one getting an immunity deal.

However, what's good for the goose is good for the gander. Do we want armed protests to become the standard? When the left feels particularly passionate about their side, and they do, are we OK with them bringing weapons?

I take it you hold the view that the 2nd Amendment should be subject to "reasonable" limitations such as who, where and when an American can exercise his right government sanctioned privilege to bear arms.

“Since the real problem was a political one, that’s where our efforts should be focused, not on threatening LEOs.”

Do you understand that the armed BLM started the confrontation showing up in their MRAPs killing Bundys cattle? The “cowboys” here were the BLM, and they are damned lucky they didn’t end up in body bags as a result of their behavior. In the end, then knew they were going to get dead if they fired a single shot in the direction of the citizens, so they left.

A long time ago, BLM agents weren’t armed, and conducted business professionally. They looked and acted like Hank the county agricultural agent. Look at the photos of that standoff with the Bundy family.
Theses post-9/11 weaponized BLMs showed up in swat gear, desert tan BDUs, AR-15s, army helmets, and more than a few were sporting tacticool “wish is was a special forces guy” beards and oakleys.

They showed up looking like they were prowling for a fight. They got the response they deserved. They were going for intimidation and they ran into people who stood tall. This is a good day.

You take it wrong.

Go play with your straw man somewhere else.

The problem is the BLM doesn’t seem to understand any of what you say. Western ranchers are up to their eyeballs with the BLM, and I will bet that some of them are going to die if they don’t put away their guns, or better still, have them taken away.

Yes it has happened to others, but this time Americans said “enough”. The federal government denied him due process and started rounding up and killing his cattle. These are not your ordinary people. These are people who have waked out a living in God Awful conditions for generation.

I get it that you can’t understand this, but these guys winning is a serious win for America

"Happens EVERY DAY to various business owners. Should they all mount armed protests?"

When faced with tyranny some men bow down and lick the hands that feed them. And some don't.

"As bad as it sucks, and as unjust as it is, are we calling for a shooting war against federal police every time a family's livelihood is threatened by the government?"

We know what your answer to that question is. A better question might be, at what point, if any, would you resist an overbearing Federal government? I'd be very interested in hearing your answer to that question.

“What was done is no different than BLM protesting without a permit (which I too find to be unconstitutional)”

Protesting doesn’t require a permit sport. Maybe you can show us in the constitution where a permit is required for speech. Be careful with that... soon we will be the ones needing to protest. I do not agree that without a permit you must not protest.

I heartily agree that the "every department gets its own heavily-armed police" thing is insane. But that's beside the point, I think.

Whether and to what degree the feds were armed doesn't really change the question of whether the Bundys should have been armed in this case. I personally think it was a bad decision on their part.

So this is our goal then?

30,000 militia, and tons of oathkeepers, along with quite a few elected reps from the west all agreed with the action that was taken that day.

If you would take the time to read and educate yourself perhaps you would understand.

If you don't care about the constitution, then you might be a troll.

Perhaps you should read more carefully. They failed to pay grazing fees. There was no rustling.

Whoa you better back up , The BLM tried to sell some of the cattle though local sales but no sale barn would take them
