Two days after President Trump questioned whether tearing down Confederate statues would lead leftists to targeting statues and monuments to George Washington, Thomas Jefferson and other Founding Fathers, CNN commentator Angela Rye did exactly that.
“We have to get to the heart of the problem here and the heart is the way many of us were taught American history. American history is not all glorious,” Rye said in a heated segment on Thursday.
“George Washington was a slave owner. We need to call them out for what they are, whether we think they were protecting American freedom or not. He wasn’t protecting my freedoms. My ancestors weren’t deemed human beings to him. And so to me, I don’t care if it’s a George Washington statue or a Thomas Jefferson statue, they all need to come down,” she added.
Rye’s comments, which were first pointed out by the Washington Free Beacon on Thursday, come amidst heated national debate on whether to tear down Confederate monuments and statues around the country.
President Trump weighed in on the debate on Thursday.
“Sad to see the history and culture of our great country being ripped apart with the removal of our beautiful statues and monuments,” Trump tweeted. “You can’t change history, but you can learn from it. Robert E Lee, Stonewall Jackson – who’s next, Washington, Jefferson? So foolish!”

Replace all taken down statues with a statue of Trump.

The news commentators went ballistic when Trump asked about taking down Washington and Jefferson statues but I knew it was just a matter of time before the left demanded exactly that.
CNN needs to “come down”.

I believe a reporter made the “mistake” of telling Trump Jefferson was ok, when Trump asked at the news conference.

A revolution is under way and the targets are Western Civilization and those who built it.
You shouldn’t want her to shut up. You should encourage her, in fact. This is gold for us. If the Democrats make this their official position, or even just want all the confederate statues torn down as their official position, it helps us IMMENSELY for 2018 and 2020.
Normal people do not like these stupid people tearing down historical monuments.
As a shrinking percentage of the total U.S. population (down to 13% or so what with killing their babies and their young men killing each other, and with the influx of millions of illegal aliens who are counted by the Left as part of the U.S. population), black Americans sure make a lot of noise and get a lot attention ... much more than is deserved when they advocate destroying American culture by destroying our history.
