UC Berkeley graduate Lauren Kirk-Coehlo pled guilty Friday to vandalizing at a Davis mosque in January. Kirk-Coehlo will serve five years probation for the crime.
According to City of Davis Police Department Lt. Thomas Waltz, Kirk-Coehlo broke several of the Islamic Center of Davis’ windows, vandalized some of the nearby bikes and put bacon on one of the doorknobs.
Kirk-Coehlo has been prohibited from using social media for five years and is required to attend weekly counseling sessions, participate in cultural sensitivity training and complete 120 hours of community service. She is also not allowed to own guns.
Kirk-Cuehlo defended her actions as an effort to protest the mistreatment of women in Islam.
Nancy Kirk, Kirk-Coehlo’s mother, told the Yolo County Probation Department that her daughter has had a history of mental illness and has been diagnosed with bipolar disorder. Kirk-Coelho had also previously worked at Google and as a legal intern for the Sacramento County District Attorney.

Vandalism is a bit over the line. But she does have a point, one that most libs merrily ignore. Throwing acid in the face of a “misbehaving” woman is a common Muslim practice. And the beatings, the honor killings, etc. ... all part of the culture.

She is more than likely a raging progressive but also sees the disconnect between Islam’s hostility towards women and the Democrat Party’s indifference to this issue.
So they used her Fifth and Sixth Amendment rights to strip away her Second? Why not her First too?

The Supreme Court unanimously struck down a law banning registered sex offenders from using social media websites like Facebook in an opinion on Monday.
They said it violated First Amendment Free Speech Rights.
She’s not even a sex offender and lost her free speech rights.
She needs a good Constitutional lawyer for all the issues you brought up.
Kind of made me wonder too. Was she convicted of a felony? If not, they have no right to take her 2nd amendment right.

(Putting bacon on doorknobs is littering, not vandalism. Otherwise, the mess that Antifa and Occupy groups leave behind should get them all life sentences. Bacon is biodegradable.)
Apparently these days, everybody who does stupid things and gets in trouble with the law, is bipolar and therefore should get a pass?
