Except in Massachuttes, the loyalists are 60 % at least

They prefer Europe to America. They should be purged from the Union

You are correct, the republicans are not perfect, but while they want a true democracy (Of the people, by the people, for the people). The democrats really prefer a Autocracy

over a democracy

Can a Divided America Survive?

Survive, yes; prevail, no.

America was never a Democracy and it is still a bad idea. The founder's wisdom guaranteed every state a Republican form of government.

True enough but Spain is part of the Europe that founded Western Civilization and the building of the modern world.

#CALEXIT solves huge political problems for the other 49 states. There is no question about that it would come as a great relief for the other 49..

Nothing is wrong with a return to greatness, but it ain’t gonna happen with the power held by a corrupt old media and justice system. They will not go in peace.

I suggest you read my post #36 where I explained the difference between a democracy and a autocracy and the difference between a Republic and a dictatorship or monarchy

> The United States is currently the world’s oldest democracy.

The United States is NOT a democracy. The United States is a Constitutional Republic.

"In the short term, yes, the US will continue to muddle along, but for the long term, the country will need to negotiate a regional split. It’s too divided to survive as a 50-state entity."

So if we were to split into two countries, just how long do you think it would be before the progressive/left country covets expansion and decides to invade the conservative country to take it too? How many crazies would have their hands on weapons of mass destruction with absolutely no one to stop them from using ?

How long before the progressive/left country becomes over-run by foreign entities much like is happening in Europe, and that provides an easy path for that entity to war with the right country?

Could our right country (which would smaller by half than the original powerful 50 State USA, with possibly few port cities and the enemy so close) defend ourselves? Keep in mind that the other side will be made up of Godless savages with little morality or respect for human life.

The end result would be war between the two sides anyway, but probably much more difficult to fight than a civil war.

America was born when a 1/3 of us

Gee are that old?

The correct sentence would be: America was born when 1/3 of our Forefathers decided to fight etc

You obviously don't know your history.

“A peaceful negotiated #CALEXIT would relieve a lot of the political pressure in the USA. But most are too stupid to see that.”

Within a year of Calexit, the entire province would revert to Mexico and the liberals there would ‘migrate’ back here.

The United States is a democracy and I explain why:

Many people for a variety of reason try to convince themselves and others that America is a Democracy and they always fail, as have you.

The founders explained with good reason why they avoided a Democracy for this new nation. The Federalist Papers and the founder's personal correspondence provide their explanation in vivid detail.

Article 4 Section 4 of America's Constitution is exceedingly clear.

However, there are other observations to ponder.

Why is the word, "democracy" never mentioned in either the Declaration of Independence or the Constitution? Neither of these organic documents contains a single utterance of that word or any word derived from that word.

As an added note not a single one of the Constitutions of the fifty states contains the word democracy.

I no longer believe this country will survive this intact.

The big question: If your prediction proves correct and America falls, taking the West with it, what is our mission - both as free individuals and as a group? I have been giving that issue a lot of thought.

Explain how CA reverts back to Mexico again?

Picky! Picky!

This is an informal forum. I get the writer's meaning. I feel certain most Freepers reading the thread do as well.

Historically, given time - all the great empires have fallen. We in these “United” States are not immune. It becomes clear that human kind devolves from being generally happy to a very vocal minority wanting to control the majority. Eventually, they resort to fascism and violence, which is on our doorstep. I have no doubt about the direction Texas will go,...nor do I doubt what direction California will go, with everything else in between.

I agree, the situation reminds me of pre-revolutionary Russia, but in this case, the democrats represent the Bolsheviks and the republicans the mensheviks. Sad state of affairs.

I have been giving that issue a lot of thought.

Apparently not that much thought. FedGov™ is not a country. It was a political entity created by the states to handle foreign affairs and national defense. If the USA fails then we revert back to 50 individual countries. Republic 101.
