I'm reminded of the cartoon of three men at a negotiating table -- the Head of Israel, the head of the PLO and Scretary of State John Kerry.

I have a small navy flag next to my mail box on the side of the road. Yesterday someone yanked the flag out and knocked over my mailbox (I live in MA). You are both correct. The United States is a Republic
If you live in a republic, then you live in a country with a leader freely and democratically elected by the people, as opposed to a dictatorship or monarchy.
So both democracy and republic go together

Well we did survive the 0bama administration, didn’t we? The left however acts like as if the Trump administration is the worst thing that could have happened. What is wrong with wanting to make this great country great again? They just don’t get it.
