You are right. But this is not a contest between left and right. This is a contest between an increasingly oppressive kleptocracy, and those who are fed up with being the kleptee, and are fed up with being marginalized. Really, this is a contest between common sense, normal people, against an entrenched parasitic class.

The people you see on the street are all talk and no action. But they are just brainwashed and easily led useful idiots. Ultimately, they are irrelevant, except whatever usefulness the parasitic class finds for them -- they are merely pawns. The real enemy of ordinary people are not all talk/no action types. They are playing a very dangerous game here, in that they are clearly aiming to take down Trump, and it is now just a question of when not if, and a question of political cover not evidence.

Fortunately, the odds of this turning ugly remain small, since, as you correctly point out, their supporters are fanatical, but also not exactly tough. But the parasitic class is going to do everything they can to eliminate an existential threat, and they have a lot of resources at their disposal (the media, money, large corporations, academia, and culture, not to mention the federal government itself) which can elevate the level of tension considerably.

This is not the time to be blase about the threat.

I see the left being able to mobilize tens of thousands over the most trivial of causes fracking, GM Food or Transgender rights;

while conservatives can only turn out a handful of protestors the most egregious outrages of the left.

Conservative sit on their hands while leftist groups drive away 90% of the corporate advertisers from Rush,O’Rielly or Brietbart.

MSNBC Can Channel BLM or outright Communists; and lose 0% of their corporate sponsors.

Turning virtually every college Campus in the US into a hard left re-education camp as resulted in zero effective push back from the right. Have any of these colleges lost a single dime of government or private money or show any sign of genuine reform?

The entertainment (Music,Movie&TV)continue to slander conservatives and pay no price for it or producing multi million dollar propaganda epics for the left.

Given the apathy on the right, I would say any “Civil War” is already lost.

Take a look at a red-blue map by county of the last election.
Now tell me which states are going which way.
You could even take this further by looking at precinct level maps.
The ideological divide has NOTHING to do with state borders.
Hell, I live in a state(WV) where every single county went for Trump. MY county is the most red of ALL WV counties, yet just going to town about 25% of the homes I pass will have voted for Hillary. Plus, WV voted in a RAT Governor in the same election.

I repeat, State lines will mean NOTHING!
