Liberal MSNBC host Chris Matthews said Thursday the accusation that President Trump directly colluded with Russia to interfere in the U.S. election "came apart" following former FBI Director James Comey's testimony in front of Congress.
In his written and spoken testimony on Thursday, Comey said that he never felt that Trump had tried to impede the FBI's investigation into Russia, even that the president had encouraged it and he suggested that former national security adviser Mike Flynn wasn't at the heart of the investigation.

POTUS lawyer gave a statement this afternoon, and the press was there. This looks exactly like his statement. I doubt though that he typed it up and put it out there. That could have been the press. Conservative tree house has the press event.
I think you are right. There is no legal basis for such nonsense. It makes no sense.
So yeah, he is just making stuff up to satisfy someone..but wrecking his rep in the process

Judge Nap seems to think that Comey somehow just sank Trump. The logic seems to be that if Comey says Trump sort of, semi-pressured him into dropping the Flynn thing, that it is definitive proof that Trump tried to obstruct justice.
It appears to me to be a he said she said type of scenario. Trump's word against Comey's word... as to what Trump said or did. Nap seems to think Comey's word is golden and that Trump's word is worthless.
I guess that's how the Dems see it too.. and probably all the RINOs too... and of course the MSM as well.
These media people (including FOX NEWS) live in either NY City or around the greater Washington, DC area.
They travel back and forth on the air shuttle or private planes several miles above the real world.
They never have to set foot out here in the Toolies (aka Tulies) where we serfs and peons toil away and see the world from a more earthly perspective.
Eventually they grow a set of Beltway Blinders but still think they are regular Joes and Janes.
Once in a while they might have to land at Dulles and take a limo to DC which is the closest they come to contact with the outside world.

No wonder why the leakers cannot be found. It was those investigating who was doing the leaking. Good grief Comey needs to be put into prison with the Clinton crime syndicate, obama, Jarrett, Rice etc.
