Watch: Insurance Companies Recommending Assisted Suicide for Terminally Ill Patients
Breitbart ^ | 31 May 2017 | Dr. Susan Berry

A newly released video reveals that health insurance companies, seeking to keep their costs down, now can include assisted suicide as a viable option for the terminally ill when these patients live in a state that has legalized assisted suicide.

On Wednesday, patient advocacy group Patients’ Rights Action Fund (PRAF) is releasing the video in which a physician discusses he is now encountering insurance companies that refuse to reimburse life-saving treatments for terminally ill patients – who live in states in which assisted suicide has become legal – because they can now recommend less expensive lethal drugs for ending the patients’ lives.

The new video features Dr. Brian Callister of Reno, Nevada, who explains that two of his terminally ill patients from neighboring states required life-saving treatments. The internal medicine specialist says that both of his patients live in states in which assisted suicide is legal, and both were denied the therapies they needed to continue to fight their illnesses. The insurance companies instead, however, offered to cover the costs of assisted suicide drugs.

No surprise. Try getting common everyday care and they're there fighting against it at every turn.

When you FORCE the insurance companies to “cover” terminally ill patients, of course they don’t want to foot the bill.

The REAL evil is the “preexisting” mandate, which forces companies to incur tremendous LOSS. Any responsible business would NOT want to incur tremendous loss by having to be forced to accept “business” from sure-losers.

It’s time we eliminate the middle man and get rid of medical insurance once and for all. The fact is that people who provide no actual help for our medical conditions need to get out of the way between us and our doctors instead of making a living on our illnesses.

It's naïve to suppose that life and death decisions aren't made as to which senior citizens will be given a chance at life and which will be managed until they die.

My attitude is in the minority. Some people will die of natural causes. Some will die because of "health care" decisions and malpractice. I'll take my chances and let nature take its course.

There is already assisted suicide or murder, it’s called Hospice.

” The insurance companies instead, however, offered to cover the costs of assisted suicide drugs.”

Wow, that’s mighty generous of them. No doubt, the savings will be passed on to the survivors.... </s>

Of course health insurance companies are for it, and life insurance companies oppose it.

Through hospice we were able to get a hospital bed, wheel chair & other medical necessities. My sister was able to stay at home surrounded 24/7 by her children & family. They were very kind & I really can’t say a negative word about them.
