The proper use of the Washington Post

Ah, but discerning cats won't deign to use the Washington Compost to relieve themselves on. You can use it to protect tabletops when you re-pot plants, shred it and add it to your compost pile, wrap up especially smelly garbage in it before adding it to the can, or put it down on the floor before you paint. The newsprint is worth far more than the ink or what it is used to spell out.

The White House explanation is crumbling because Sarah Huckabee Sanders was doing the initial splainin’ and not SPICER.

She had ONE explanation and she clung to that baby like a life raft yesterday, from Morning Joe on. It was BAD. She was sent out knowing nothing and was as every bit as unprepared as she looked.

Now I read on DRUDGE that Rubenstein was so pizzed off about being used as the death nail to Comey all day long that he called the White House and threatened to quit!

By the time Morning Joe got through with Huck-Sanders single sqawking point “Rubenstein did it”, Mika was already mimmicking Sarah as a bobble head doll. It was pathetic and an embarrassment.

Sean Spicer better race back! By evening Sarah was admitting some additional more realistic context. She quit hiding Trump’s role in the chronology, but too late to salvage Rubenstein’s fury.

Thank God Rubenstein enjoyed all of it he could stand and put the brakes on her crap performance.

Frankly, I don’t care about the “reasons.” President Trump has the Constitutional RIGHT to fire anyone he chooses for any reason or not. I am sick and tired of the garbage media and especially the Wapo,NYT, and similar rags.

Jeff Bezos has turned a once great newspaper into a lying propaganda rag that has zero credibility. I switched from Amazon to Walmart Ebay just so Jeff Bezos does not get a dime of my money.

Our international enemies run the media and our courts. The media runs the Democrats.

That's it, in a nut shell.

Global tyrants pressure the global corporations that own our news organization. Our news organizations then pressure our politicians.

And yet despite the enemedia’s demented meltdown, Trump’s approval rating INCREASED, presumably because of firing Comey:

Didn't Spicer give the initial remarks on Tuesday night? You know, the "hide in the bushes" thing.

Rosenstein being angry is a risible claim. He recommends in writing the Comey be replaced, now he's angry because his rationale is accepted? I doubt he's pissed about the issue of who initiated his written material either. He, Sessions and Trump have a meeting, all three agree, Comey is out. The boss asks for recommendation and reason in writing. They all three get what they want.

Of course the left is going to make up garbage, its what they do. That applies to Morning Joe and his squeeze. Fundamentally dishonest people.

He fired him because he didn’t want the upcoming Vince Foster murder investigated. Oops, never mind, wrong president.

Sarah was lousy on Morning Joe and shouldn’t have shown up at all, not in that league of piranhas, not without a pistol and a whip. Not for an entire segment interview. She should have given simple cut to a single statement or two on from the WH grounds, but she was grossly unprepared, at the early hour (EST) to serve as a target board for a 10 minute segment, with nothing to say but repetition of “Rubenstein did it”.

I totally missed the hide-in-the-bush story, against Spicer?
If that account wasn’t of fake news, then that would be really bad, as well, for Sean Spicer.

OTOH, Sarah should have limited herself Wednesday morning to the same brief statement that Sean gave on Tuesday night. She had nothing more to say than he did, that’s for sure, by air time.

Rubenstein was ASSIGNED to do that review and investigation.
He didn’t walk in as a Deputy AG, and on his own independent volition shake up the FBI high command on 26 April and shake out the Director of the FBI for firing in 10 working days, not on his own authority.

The chronology of events are now ekking out, in a believable natural way, but not until Rubenstein gave the Oval Office a ringy ding that he was not going to be singularly hung out to dry by Sarah Huckabee’s performance all day long.

There is a pecking order that sets off any defining chain of actions that gets an FBI Director canned. It’s major news, around the world and has an authorized action plan, and it deserves a finely tuned story on the who, what, where, why and how it occurred. Communications dropped the ball and Sarah was willing to go out there with nothing.

Now the clean up ensues.

Of course, and it's risible to claim that Rosenstein "set it off" all on his lonesome. I'm not buying that he's angry, and all this navel gazing to get an "admission" that Trump wanted Comey gone is a joke.

Sarah answered repetetive questions about the firing at length yesterday. WH Press Briefing May 10, 2017 - Sanders

Spicer - Tuesday, May 9, 2017

"What I can tell you is the president, when given these recommendations, made a decision to accept their conclusions and to remove director Comey and begin that restoration of confidence and leadership that needs to happen there," Spicer said.

Rosenstein.

He was asked to put his recommendation in writing, is my understanding. He and Sessions met with Trump on Monday. There was a discussion about Comey. I don't know the detailed chronology of that discussion, but all three had an interest and fairly well developed opinions by that time. If you are the press, you want to have a recording of that meeting so you can criticize the details, somehow.

I assume that during the course of discussion, agreement was apparent, and Trump asked for the recommendation to be reduced to writing. No sense for Rosenstein to do that before there is some sort of meeting of the minds, in fact, I think it would be a grave error to write a memo of that nature without "clearing" it with the boss (Sessions) and the principal (Trump) in advance.

As for investigation, none is necessary. Every event cited in that memo was done in public, in the open, and was the subject of news reports. I knew the instant that Comey gave his "clear Hillary" presser, that he was WAY out of line - for all the reasons cited in Rosenstein's memo. And I can't be the only one who knew, not by a long shot. I would guess that 75-90% of the people in the FBI and DOJ knew Comey was out of line. Many of them welcomed that deviation from good practice, and no doubt many did not.

True, it’s not a given that reports are the gospel that Rubenstein was “mad” enough to resign, but we don’t really know they are not true. If I were he, I would have resented being used as the cage mask, for most of the day by the unprepared and uninformed WH spokesman/woman. Just sayin’.
