It has been 36 hours since the White House announced that President Trump had fired James B. Comey as FBI director. And its rationale and explanations for that move continue to fall apart.
Below, we recap three claims that have been called into serious doubt and even directly contradicted by the White House itself.
1. That Deputy Attorney General Rod J. Rosenstein initiated Comey's firing.
2. That it was because of the Clinton email investigation, not Russia.
3. That Trump lost confidence in Comey on Election Day.
Either Trump lost confidence in Comey months ago, or he still had it last week. The White House can't have it both ways. And that's about as good a microcosm of this whole mess as there is.

Half the population no longer even considers whether the Washington Post happened to tell the truth in a story. They have become 100% a propaganda organ for the Democrat Party (which used to be only 75% of their writing), and all decent Americans have dismissed them and the NYT completely.

Here we go again with the MSM more interested in process and palace intrigue than they are in the stated reasons contained in the Rosenstein letter for getting rid of Comey.
Note to admin: Should you even allow the posting of articles from the Washington Compost here? Reading my local morning paper has become a lot shorter recently, since about 50% of their articles and 80% of their opinion pages are Compost reposts.

I flashback to "Good job, Brownie!" followed by termination of Brownie, with NO similar objection from the press.
100% of the outrage is contrived, and this will continue for as long as Trump is president. The press will not change. It is fundamentally dishonest.
She's probably having seizures trying to figure out what her stance should be on Comey's firing.

The only thing crumbling before our eyes is the Mediacrat Party!
It was only that President Trump was steadily growing ever more exasperated, and once he had a good solid opinion from his Deputy Attorney General, the man DIRECTLY in charge of the FBI, that he acted to relieve Director Comey of his duties.
The previous Deputy Attorney General, Sally Yates, was an Obama holdover and not politically reliable. Sally Yates would not have made such a finding or recommendation.
It is remarkable that James Comey found out about being fired by the TV announcement. He was in such disbelief at first, he thought it was some elaborate prank.
No prank, Jim.
My local paper publishes every flatulent utternace of the WaPo and AP. Fortunately nobody cares. Nobody reads the local birdcage liner for national news, and only a small fraction of the population trust the national media.
This is why.
