A New York Times columnist who was “harangued” for months by “bullying Trump supporters” says he’s now being blasted by the “nasty left” — after he penned a piece about how absurd it was to blindly support climate change, without listening to both sides of the argument.

They hire someone other than a total far left ass licker to try and gain some minimum semblance of balance, and their "loyal" readers mess their adult diapers when something other than far left lies are published.
The real question is why would Stephens lower himself into the Slimes cesspool. They must have paid a lot of money.
Since the Climate Church is their religion, this reporter to them qualifies as blasphemous and must be dealt with. Contrary opinions are not tolerated and must be destroyed.
I doubt that any would subscribe because Stephens is now in the bag. He will soon be "re-educated".
Again the truth is irrelevant in today’s political scheme of things.
When the author was employed by the WSJ, he was trashing Trump from day 1. He is about to learn that who really hates free speech.

A lot of WSJ readers were quite happy with Stephens’ departure ...his stumble out of the gate at the NYT is poetic justice.

The real blasphemy is to ask if we can prove that AGW is more than a breath in a tornado of earthly events.
That’s when the fanatical, religious adherence shows itself.
He made the mistake of not wanting to check his brain at the door. Instead he said why not put it on the altar of science. Argh! Spffft! No Fair! Gaia will disapprove!
All Bret Stephens said was, “you might do better if you have a reasonable conversation about this.” But the left believes in climate change hysteria as a matter of faith, so he’s treated as a heretic.
It is better that the left acts the way it does. Ignorance of their history of incorrect predictions. Ignorance of their failed climate models. Ignorance of their science being disproven. Ignorance of the evidence that they altered data to fit their theories. All of that adds up to the denial of reality and the collapse of the left.
Well this fooferaw may prove useful. Now we know more about how the NYT can be pranked with actual consequences. And so, if the NYT isn’t utterly blind, does the NYT.
It might try its own outreach to a more moderate audience in defense against this. Being orthodox lefty has to become a pain.
