Coptic Christian Refused to Deny Jesus Before ISIS Ruthlessly Killed Him
Christian Post ^ | Apr 4, 2017 | Samuel Smith

A Coptic Christian father of two who was on a "kill list" and tracked for days by Islamic State militants in Sinai refused to renounce his faith in Christ when given a chance to "save" himself before being executed, his wife said.

The British news outlet The Sunday Times reports that the widow of 58-year-old Copt Bahgat Zakhar, one of eight Christians killed in the coastal town of Al Arish in just a three-week span in February, detailed the moment her husband met his fate.

Zakhar, who was a veterinary surgeon, was reportedly named on a jihadi "kill list" that was published online. As reported, jihadis have anonymously posted "kill lists" online that feature churches and prominent Christians across Egypt to target.

“Well let’s take that to its ultimate conclusion...”

You didn’t take this to its “ultimate conclusion.”

1. Being a martyr is a good thing. - - - - Yes he is enjoying himself in Heaven.
2. So all good people become Martyrs. - - - - Us here in the US, probably will never be faced with such a situation . . . at least for now.
3. The bad people kill all the Martyrs. . . . . not sure what you are talking about here.
4. The bad people win - - - - Win what? a ticket to Hell?

I don’t think you are a believer.

I agree. The countless Christians who were killed in the 1st-4th Century by the Romans,Persians, Assyrians, then from the 7th through the 13th by Muslims, is still going on today. God bless that man!

A good person lives his full life, and dies of natural causes.

Did he Win or Lose?

American Christianity has become a Cucked Social Justice Warrior institution. They’re called “Churchians.””

Martyrs are not “Cucked Social Justice Warrior[s]” nor are they called “Churchians.” Quite frankly compared to any martyr in history you would be shown to be the weaker person, the more venial, and clearly the less intelligent.

Turn your brain on before you start posting.

I believe you are wrong. We most likely do not have exactly the same beliefs.

Denying Jesus is an unforgivable sin. Spending eternity in the Lake of Fire is what is senseless.

“His death was not senseless,
your comment was.”

How many martyrs’ deaths can we afford? I prefer 10,000 crusaders over 10,000 martyrs.

Good luck, and goodbye. As usual people like you miss the point. Sure it is ok to fight as an army or citizen militia or even in individual defense. However, as stated you miss the point. This man was alone, unarmed, faced with an members of an armed fanatically hostile civilization and its religion. He was asked to deny his faith and refused. He is saved. I no longer wish to deal with you on this issue as one should not bandy words with a fool. Goodbye.

I’m not Catholic ...Southern fundie.....but denying Christ is something we’re taught is the big one as well

That said I’m not sure I’d be so brave especially if the folding Buck knife was against my child’s throat

And yes in war staying alive is what separates westerners from the ant farm and mud folk culture or races or ethnics or whatever is the stupid correct term

But denying God and Christ is heavy for us raised in the blood

He is in paradise with our Lord. The Satanist who murdered him will burn in hell for an eternity.

If that isn't the tribulation then I'm not sure what it could mean anymore.

So based on II Thessalonians 2:1-7, I'd like to ask: (1) Has the apostasy come AND has the Man of Lawlessness, AND the Son of Destruction, been revealed [vv 3-2]. and (2), has the Man of Lawlessness who exalts and promotes himself himself above every other god, taken his seat in the Temple of God, been reveealed? For that matter, is there a Temple of God in existence today where the Man of Lawlessness could take his seat? So the Day of the Lord cannot have happened yet.

The angel who visited Daniel made it clear that the Tribulation belongs to those who build and rebuild the Temple, and not the church.

But the answer to your implied question is answered in verse 7: the mystery lawlessness is already at work. We are in the period of lawlessness before the Day of the Lord comes. The Day of the Lord comes after these phenomena described in the passage.

II Thessalonians 2:1-7: 2 "Now we request you, brethren, with regard to the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ and our gathering together to Him, 2 that you not be quickly shaken from your composure or be disturbed either by a spirit or a message or a letter as if from us, to the effect that the day of the Lord has come. 3 Let no one in any way deceive you, for it will not come unless the apostasy comes first, and the man of lawlessness is revealed, the son of destruction, 4 who opposes and exalts himself above [e]every so-called god or object of worship, so that he takes his seat in the temple of God, displaying himself as being God. 5 Do you not remember that while I was still with you, I was telling you these things? 6 And you know what restrains him now, so that in his time he will be revealed. 7 For the mystery of lawlessness is already at work; only he who now restrains will do so until he is taken out of the way."

>But denying God and Christ is heavy for us raised in the blood

Telling a worthless islam what he wants to hear is not denying God and Christ.

The connection to God and Christ is internal and has nothing to do with what others hear or believe.

Belief is the most personal thing humans have. It can’t be denied, nor is it the same in any two humans.

So did you make up your own conception with your own “truths”?

Hopefully one day you open your eyes to see The Truth. Or are you talking about Orthodoxy v liberal? There truly is only one church, per the bible. I believe the saying is something like: Peter, on this rock I will build my church.
