The chairman says he was invited by an unidentified intelligence official to review classified documents on the White House grounds at the Old Executive Office Building, it appears, where the National Security Council has secure facilities for that purpose. These documents purportedly show that communications from Trump transition officials, and perhaps Trump himself, were intercepted during intelligence-agency monitoring of foreign powers; and Nunes says the monitoring in question appears unrelated to Russias meddling in the U.S. election.
Nunes reports that the documents he was shown suggest that the Obama administration may have been using its foreign-intelligence powers to shadow the incoming Trump team. Though the communications in question were lawfully intercepted, Nunes suggests that the identities of Trump officials should have been masked (i.e., concealed) under standard minimization rules that guide the dissemination of classified foreign intelligence throughout the community of U.S. intelligence agencies. Instead, the identities of the Trump officials were revealed and widely transmitted to people with no apparent need to know about the officials communications some of which, in Nuness description, had little or no apparent foreign-intelligence value.
*snip*
Democratic calls for Nuness recusal, led by the committees notoriously partisan ranking member, Adam Schiff (D., Calif.), are as meritless as they are transparently political. A congressional investigation is not a criminal trial before an impartial jury; it is an inquiry by a bipartisan committee of politicians who have patent party loyalties, and who engage in obvious partisan gamesmanship.

Ping.
McCarthy toes the NRO anti-Trump line here, but still raises some interesting points.
“Nunes reports that the documents he was shown suggest that the Obama administration may have been using its foreign-intelligence powers to shadow the incoming Trump team”
Then you combine that with the Evelyn Farkis video, you have something.
And now democrats and nevertrumps are trying to shut down that investigation and start a different one.
Also combine that with McCain using a British man to build a file against Trump.
Rumor going around trump wants gowdy as fbi director..would he take the job
You read my mind
And you can bet there is more that no one knows about yet
Rumor going around trump wants gowdy as fbi director..would he take the job
Don’t hold your breath. I’d love to see it but I really don’t see Comey getting fired. It would be a bold incredibly risky move on Trumps part. Nothing will happen until Gorsuch is confirmed. If Trump fired Comey the firestorm would scare McConnell out of considering the nuke option and it doesn’t take much to scare Mitch.
Something happened - here is no question.
It has been stated Judge Napolatino has returned to FNC air waves, yet he STILL stands by the statements which caused TBTB to show him the door.
This and the ‘other’ network letting the cat out of the bag leaves room for suspicion.
The teams are no longer playing on a level field. As one side becomes closer to ‘winning’, the other either changes the rules or completely forfeits the ‘game’
Leave it to Andy McCarthy to defend our Stasi FedGov Deep State spooks.
A whistleblower came to Nunes with apparent evidence of a federal crime.
It has nothing to do with Russia, which is what the House Intel Committee is investigating.
Hmm, should Nunes bring this to the attention of the President and the AG, who are responsible for enforcing federal crimes?
Or should he keep it hidden from them, and share it with fellow congressmen on his committee, even though it has nothing to do with the Russia investigation the congressmen are engaged in.
So let's say the whistleblower thought Nunes was going to take the info to the federal authorities in order to get to the bottom of the crime.
And instead, Nunes refuses to tell the president but shares it in secret with a bunch of congressmen.
Wouldn't Nunes be exposed to obstruction of justice charges?
And if Nunes does tell the federal authorities (the president) about the apparent crime, and the Dem and GOPe deep state protectors try to retaliate against him for reporting the crime (taking away his chairmanship), aren't THEY exposed to obstruction of justice charges?
McCarthy was part of the neocon cabal that gave us this terrible Stasi spy apparatus after 9/11 that collects everything on everyone in the USA.
And does anyone doubt that it's not really all that useful for finding out what the Muslims are up to, because it would be profiling to actually try to do that?
So instead the vast spy apparatus it is turned on ex-girlfriends, ex-wives and political opponents.
Just when you think McCarthy is going to wise up, he backslides into the swamp.
The next morning, he briefed Speaker Ryan, who is also one the Intelligence gang of eight.
It is said that Ryan advised Nunes to get this to the President ASAP.
He did.
McCarthy doesn't know what Nunes knows and shared with Ryan. He doesn't have their security clearance.
This is a serious matter and I trust that Ryan and Nunes did what they thought was right given the nature of the intelligence seen by Nunes and communicated to Ryan.
Amen.
I always liked Andy McCarthy but he just keeps failing to get a grip on reality (i.e. Trump won...get over it).
Bbb
The Intelligence gang of eight should walk over to the Executive branch and ask to read the same docs Nunes read.
Well, what are they waiting for??? Do they not want to get to the bottom of this Russian thingy
Well, maybe they cannot read cursive
If there’s one thing RATS hate more than having to testify under oath at hearings where they’re obviously guilty, it’s having to testify under oath concurrently at FIVE hearings.
That’s how tightly Jarrett cloistered power and criminal action, she didn’t spread the culpability wide enough.
RATS are now wondering what in which all ways their ‘incidental’ conversations are turning up in Nunes’ inquiries, and they don’t trust him to mask and not share: hell, they never have.
Hence the clotheslining of Nunes.
Just for the record..
DID ANYONE SEE SHEP SMITHs show this afternoon?
How did he address the fact The Judge had returned on air? What was Sheps demeanor today? Still the little witch?
Two points to guess the unanswered question before you slog through what you know to the end of the article.
Funny! you should ask, we Pear people have been looking at sports insignias all day since Pear forgot to pay the DirectTV bill the device streaming FNC taps. Fox Business has been fine, though.
Unanswered? More like Unasked.
When I want to hope about DC, I watch his videos on youtube. What a mind.
