Immigration agents detained an undocumented Los Angeles father of four U.S.-born children as he was about to drop off his daughter at school earlier this week, dramatic video shows.

Romulo Avelica-Gonzalez, a 48-year-old Mexican immigrant who has lived and worked in the country for over 25 years, was pulled over by agents a few blocks from his 12-year-old daughter's school in Pasadena on Tuesday morning, attorney Emi MacLean told the Daily News.

The agents, donning blue jackets with the word "police" emblazoned across their backs, cuffed Avelica-Gonzalez and placed him in an unmarked vehicle, as his daughter and wife could be heard in a video weeping from the backseat.

Avelica-Gonzalez was taken to a nearby detention center, and Immigration and Customs Enforcement officials informed his family members that he was set to be deported the very same evening.

Anyone else notice how the media only plays up the cases like this?

It’s hard to find national reporting on the MS-13 gang bangers being deported.

“It was not immediately clear if Avelica-Gonzalez had a criminal record, though MacLean said he has a DUI conviction from nearly 10 years ago and a two-decade-old conviction for driving an improperly registered vehicle.”

I wonder what his prior arrest records look like? Were there warrants? ICE probably (better!) have had a reason to pop this guy.

Community organizers have blasted ICE for nabbing Avelica-Gonzalez near a school —

A few blocks away is near a school?

Besides, the guy had 25 years to become a citizen.

Methinks there is more to the story than meets the eye.

I dont get it. 25 years in America and never once thought to try to apply for US citizenship?? WTF!!

My aunt was here illegally for 12 years but paid her taxes through ITIN and it wasn’t difficult to adjust her status. She’s now a US citizen. This imbecile on the other hand, had the easiest window to beapproved through the process with obamatard for 8 years and didnt even try. Reap what you sow idiot.

So, he has a Criminal Record.

He could have killed someone while driving Drunk.

He should have been Deported when it happened, but Bush was President back then.

If President Trump does not stop this, we might lose 11 million illegal residents who would rather go home voluntarily than be deported with severe restrictions on reentry. That would help with:

- the California water shortage,
- housing prices,
- the job search for those out of work,
- Emergency room wait times,
- crime,
- drugs,
- the cost of social services,
- the cost of multi-lingual education in school systems where a high percentage of students don’t speak English.

What are we going to do with the flood of money saved by getting rid of so many criminals? So many problems!

He should have been deported 10 years ago.

‘Undocumented father’

Couldn’t prove he was a father either?

“Lived and worked in the country for over 25 years...”

That’s 25 years of stealing a job from an American.

Or if guys like this had been embroiled in something worse. A 10 year old drunk drive isn’t even on most modern radars.

Illegal alien is enough.

Why should we wait until an illegal alien harms or kills an American before they are removed?
