Pope repeats 'bridges not walls' after Trump travel ban

Pope Francis repeated his appeal for people to build bridges of understanding, not walls as he marked a feast day of a Sudanese immigrant amid a global uproar over the Trump administrations attempts to impose a travel ban on seven mostly Muslim countries.
The pope didnt refer to President Donald Trump in his comments. But at the end of his audience, he noted that Wednesday marked both the churchs day of reflection for young victims of human trafficking and coincidentally the feast day of St. Josephine Bakhita. She was a 19th-century Sudanese slave who, after migrating to Europe, became a nun. Sudan is one of the seven countries on the U.S. travel ban list.
In the social and civil context as well, I appeal not to create walls but to build bridges, he said.To not respond to evil with evil. To defeat evil with good, the offense with forgiveness. A Christian would never say you will pay for that. Never. That is not a Christian gesture. An offense you overcome with forgiveness. To live in peace with everyone.

Looks like His Holiness never read Isaiah 5:20. Or Acts 23:3. Or so many other scriptures.

There is a wall around the Vatican, at least in part.
I guess he should order them torn down.

Seems like he should tear down the Vatican walls and let some of the refugee leeches into his own palace. He just needs to shut up.

2 Choronicles 14:2 Asa did good and right in the sight of the Lord his God, 3 for he removed the foreign altars and high places, tore down the sacred pillars, cut down the Asherim, 4 and commanded Judah to seek the Lord God of their fathers and to observe the law and the commandment. 5 He also removed the high places and the incense altars from all the cities of Judah. And the kingdom was undisturbed under him. 6 He built fortified cities in Judah, since the land was undisturbed, and there was no one at war with him during those years, because the Lord had given him rest. 7 For he said to Judah, Let us build these cities and surround them with walls and towers, gates and bars. The land is still ours because we have sought the Lord our God; we have sought Him, and He has given us rest on every side. So they built and prospered.

At the rate illegals poured in during the Obama years, they may as well of had a “bridge”.
I’m not catholic, but the “pope” seems to be a “religious” Obama. He seems opposed to everything that is American, and conservative.
But, n
He’s not an American, not elected by America, and has no standing is his opinions, except maybe with Catholics.
His “bridge” (to nowhere) ideas are “do as I say, not as I do”, as he pontificates behind the safety of theWALLS of Vatican City.

Unless I'm mistaken the Pope has the authority to set immigration policy in Vatican City which,IIRC,is legally considered to be a sovereign country.
I guess you could say that DJT is "Pope" of the United States which, legally,is most assuredly considered to be a *sovereign* country.

I am Catholic, but until the Pope knocks down his very large wall around the Vatican, I don’t care what he says.

God's directions for the temple.
Ezekiel 42: He turned to the west side and measured five hundred reeds with the measuring reed. 20 He measured it on the four sides; it had a wall all around, the length five hundred and the width five hundred, to divide between the holy and the profane.

Until His (ASS) Holiness completely fills Vatican City with Muslim refugees he can shut his socialist mouth.
What a CATASTROPHIC choice for Pope!

Let Francis man our border with a machine gun and see how many illegals try to invade our country, and which of them are actually Mideast terrorists looking for an easy way to gain entry. Then maybe he’ll shut his uninformed trap.

Nehemiah 2:17 Then I said to them, "You see the bad situation we are in, that Jerusalem is desolate and its gates burned by fire. Come, let us rebuild the wall of Jerusalem so that we will no longer be a reproach."

Seeing this piece and the thread, I came to express my disappointment but I saw several Freepers already had. And after all, what can we expect from this Pope with the Marxist background?
