Appointments at the pleasure of the President can be revoked.

EVERY agency is going to need a thorough housecleaning and fumigation to rid the government of all the communists that the usurper has embedded in our government.

Barring termination at the end of the probation period, the next acceptable alternative is to reassign and completely ISOLATE them out of the way where they can cause damage.

Don’t unpack your boxes. You’ll be out of there on Monday.

This people can be ‘windowed’. Given a job with a desk and a window, and no access to systems other than HR. At the same time they are required to attend a 5 minute review, F2F meeting each day at 0830 and 1630.

I have seen it done.

Why is there a “United States Holocaust Memorial Council” anyway?

So these people will be able to die saying that they worked for the Federal government for a week or two.

All these last minute moves by Obama are designed to delay Republicans the opportunity to enact their agenda. If positive change happens from policy changes by 2018 Dems know they are screwed.

The positions requiring Senate confirmation were likely sent NOW to try to delay Trump’s incoming people getting confirmed.

You can bet that this despicable, whining bag of snot and his baskets of worthless racists, terrorist supporters and other America haters
have left behind plenty of booby traps and land mines for Trump to avoid and clean up.

Wouldn’t they immediately have to submit a letter of resignation to the incoming president? Sounds like he’s helping some friends pad their resumes.

Obama rushes to fill dozens of federal jobs before leaving office

First thing you do is fire anyone hired or appointed by Obama.

Somehow, the writer did not feel it would be useful information to see the last-minute appointment records of the last several Presidents. Without this data, one can make the argument that they all did this.

Although I seriously doubt it.

I’ve got an idea, fire everyone that was hired in the past 6 months.

If they weren’t needed then, they aren’t needed now.

If they cannot be fired, they can serve their time at Gitmo.

The story makes reference to two types of hires. The important ones are positions requiring Senate confirmation. Those appointments are not going to happen unless the Republicans approve. If they happen at all at this point, it will be because they are part of an arranged deal. It is hard to see what leverage the Democrats have to make such a deal in the closing days, and unless that is the case, these nominations won’t go anywhere. The other sorts of appointments referenced are for various advisory boards. These are routinely filled by outgoing presidents, who scatter a few plums among the troopers who have stuck around to the end.

I remember the crap the press pulled on Bush for (legally) firing people. It won’t work this time!
