Martin Luther King Jr was a huge advocate for integration. While the left is now against integration all over college campuses-- advocating segregated rooms, segregated floors, as well segregating entire dorms, fraternities and sororities for black and whites.

Martin Luther King Jr was also an advocate for a color blind society. While the left is anything but, with affirmative action, reparations and all the rest. Many of them even openly write disparagingly of the idea of a color blind society.

Because, sadly, they know that if he was alive to day, he would stand for all the things the left stands for today. My Goodness. Look at his last pictures where he’s standing with the nation of islam! It’s too bad because he was certainly an inspiring and charismatic leader in Montgomery.
Good question, since most liberals firmly believe MKL was a Democrat.
Because if they don’t keep promoting the highly flawed MLK as THE civil rights icon, people might find out about Malcolm X.
Agree they want to use the name of a famous person because they have nothing of significance to introduce into the real world their minds are twisted to the idea of a utopia can be made fools.
Tweet Donald Trump to go after Al Sharpton to pay up his back delinquent taxes.
Al is the biggest deadbeat. He doesn’t pay rent, old court judgements either.
Time for Al to pay up all the back taxes. No Negotiations no tax reductions.
Al should be held up to public shame, and pay taxes plus interest and fines
It's all politics.
"The issue is never the issue. The issue is the revolution."
I think it’s simpler than that and way more obvious. They are still pandering to the same voting block they’ve counted on for 50 years. Their “leadership’ is stuck in the past and I hope they stay there. “WE” will be the beneficiaries of this woeful strategy for the next few election cycles. Especially if Trump has the impact I believe he will.
Black Lives Matter activists aim to ‘reclaim’ MLK as radical

Libs revere FDR. Trump ought to do an FDR and get jobs for UE blacks building the Border Wall, and Keystone pipeline.
Also we could use a water pipeline from the flood areas to Lake Mead in the western states that supplies several states with water, AZ, NV CA.
Typical commies. Accuse others of doing what you are actually doing, and take credit for things that make you appear the opposite of how you really are. In short, lie. All the time. About everything.
Why? Because their Minions are so incredibly gullible.
Because it allows them every year to throw in our faces our evil “White Privilege” and racism and make us bow down and apologize.
Which I will never do.
Vanities belong in chat. This is a hard news forum.
because he black and they can’t let the facade drop yet
Wasn’t MARTIN LUTHER KINGjr a REPUBLICAN?
It’s time for the GOP to take back MARTIN LUTHER KINGjr.
From Wikipedia...
Political affiliation
Time and time again, liberals claim that MLK was a Democrat. Liberals point to the people he associated with or that he opposed Barry Goldwater as proof that MLK was a Democrat. There is considerable evidence that he was not a Democrat. Martin Luther King Sr. was a Republican, that would almost certainly make his son a Republican. Only after his son was arrested did King Sr. plead to President Kennedy for his safe release. It is noted at that point MLK Sr. switched parties to support Kennedy. This despite Kennedy voting against the 1957 Civil Rights Act and being initially opposed to the 1963 March on Washington by Dr. King. The March on Washington was organized by A. Phillip Randolph, who was a black Republican. In addition, Robert Kennedy allowed the FBI to wiretap MLK Jr’s phone on a trial basis due to suspicion that Dr. King’s associates were Communist; this was later expanded during Lyndon B. Johnson’s presidency; which undermined King.[11][12]
It was the Republicans who led the way to free the slaves nearly one-hundred years earlier, that fact was not lost on his generation. Frances Rice, chairman of the National Black Republican Association said, [he] “absolutely was a Republican,” and “We were all Republicans in those days.

The left wants whatever is politically advantageous for it
Consistency or fairness have never been their goals
And “content of character” doesn’t matter. Quotas and “equality” of result are the minimum standards.
The libs think they own MLK Jr.
