The Senate narrowly rejected Democrats' attempts to force Republicans to get 60 votes to repeal Obamacare rather than a simple majority.

The Senate voted 52-48 along party lines to reject an amendment by Sen. Tim Kaine, D-Va., and other Democrats to a budget resolution bill that is the first step toward repealing Obamacare.

Gadzooks. Perhaps the Repubs have grown 1/8 of one testicle. Keep it up, congressmen, sooner or later we can respect you.

The only downside of Hillary not being elected president - Tiny Tim is still a US Senator. What a putz!

Thank you Mr. Trump.

Our new president has made the Republicans in the Senate a little less cowardly.

With the 60 vote rule now DEAD, thanks to harry reid, all the rep have too do too win is stick together and USE their majority.

I am sure those Senators who may feel vulnerable in the 2018 midterms have been told if they stray from the Party they will be mercilessly primaried and will get ZERO re election support from the RNC and Trump.

Exactly how is a 52-48 vote “narrow” in the context of a vote on a matter when the Republican/Democrat mix is 52-48.

DEMOCRATS want to stop anything Trump and Republicans said NO.

Incredible that the fact that Obamacare was passed on a “narrow” reconciliation vote was not mentioned at all in the article. I was expecting it to at least be hidden in one of the last paragraphs . . . it wasn’t.

FWIW, I think it’s less about testicular fortitude and more about self-preservation.

The liberals actually believed that they would be in power for the next 40 years, but something happened on the way to fundamental transformation of America...
