(CNN) — A hefty government gas price hike is fueling protests, looting and road blockades in Mexico.
Authorities arrested more than 250 people for robbery and acts of vandalism around the country this week, officials said.

Mexico is in sad shape in a lot of ways. US subsidies are managing to keep that from turning around on Mexicans and biting them in the rear — too hard, at least.
Some of them are not very savory subsidies. There’s a lot of street drug traffic, to state the obvious.
Mexico needs its own Donald Trump. That’s what will keep it from turning into Venezuela when the US starts to deal actually on the level with it.

Well, the peso did crash after the election, but that isn't Trump's fault. Mexico has been ridiculous in its energy policies for years, and this is just a chicken that came home to roost.
