Culture In Which All Truth Is Relative Suddenly Concerned About Fake News (Babylon Bee)

U.S.—Sources from within the United States confirmed Tuesday that American society, while typically rejecting concepts like absolute truth and objective moral standards, is suddenly showing grave concern for the rise of fabricated news stories after a reported uptick in fake news during the recent election season.

One Oregon man, who rejects the idea that humanity can even be sure the universe exists in any meaningful sense, was nonetheless disturbed by the idea that websites could publish completely false information, for anyone in the world to read.

“It’s just absolutely wrong, in my opinion,” said the man who doesn’t believe in absolute ideals of right and wrong at all. “What if someone reads the information and gets like, deceived? That just seems totally wicked.”

Bingo!!!!!! The relativist's chickens are coming home to roost! When there are no absolutes to govern society, society becomes the absolute. --Francis Schaeffer.

A = A

I read Atlas Shrugged for the first time six years ago. It opened my eyes to the horror of "feelings" as the guiding principle of modern society and its government.

If there are no absolutes, then everything is allowable.

We ignore reality at our stark peril.

Maybe the whole “global warming and man made climate change” hoax will finally be recognized by all as the biggest hoax, along with the presidency of BHO.

Reminds me of The Ghosts, by Lord Dunsany, in the inimitable collection, 50 Great Short Stories:

“Logic and reason re-established themselves in my mind, there were no dark hounds of sin, the tapestried chairs were empty. It seemed to me an inconceivable thought that a man should murder his brother.”

All this fake news kinda reminds me of the propaganda cartoons Disney made during WW2.

But of course i know the truth, its the liberal MSM screaming like a stuck pig that the sheeple are not slack jawed glued to them anymore listening to their audio and talking head tripe, but instead have found numerous alternative feeding troughs online full of sweet corn.

Sweet corn and sweet potatoes...
