EUROPE'S FUTURE -- MERKEL OR LE PEN? (Buchanan column)
WND ^ | 12-22-16 | Pat Buchanan

That German lassitude, and the naivete behind it, allowed this outrage and validates the grim verdict of geostrategist James Burnham in “Suicide of the West”: “Liberalism is the ideology of Western suicide.”

Both the transnational elite and populist right sense the stakes involved here. As news of the barbarous atrocity spread across Europe, the reactions were instantaneous and predictable.

Marine Le Pen of France’s National Front, leading candidate for the presidency in 2017, declaimed: “How many more people must die at the hands of Islamic extremists before our governments close our porous borders and stop taking in thousands of illegal immigrants?”

Geert Wilders, the Party for Freedom front-runner for prime minister of Holland, echoed Le Pen: “They hate and kill us. And nobody protects us. Our leaders betray us. We need a political revolution.

“Islamic immigration is an invasion,” he went on, “an existential problem that will replace our people [and] erase our culture.”

“These are Merkel’s dead,” tweeted Marcus Pretzell of the far-right Alternative for Germany about the victims in the Christmas mart.

The choice is clear, but I fear Europe is far down the wrong road.

How strange that Putin is not in the headline. I didn’t need to read the body. I’m not pro-Putin. But, as T has observed. Putin is a leader. He knows where he wants to go and how to get there.

Europe lacks a John Paul. Europe lacks a Thatcher.

Trump knows the demographic future of Europe: It will be dominated by Islam in 30 years — NO MATTER WHAT WE DO!

Merkel just advanced that timeline by several years by inviting 1,000,0000 mostly young MALE sexist/racist Islamicists into the EU.

Trump understands that in the long run it’s futile for us to spend another red cent defending Europe from its own demise. Withdraw ALL of our military from Europe NOW!

Instead, perhaps Trump is thinking we should LET PUTIN HAVE THE EU and let him deal with the Islamic problem. He’s good at it! He’s the only hope for Europe to have a semblance of Western Civilization in 30+ years from now.

The PC Euros are way too impotent to do anything about the horrible future they face.

Does not need to be true if they do something about it.

They would have to go all Hitler on them, that is not going to happen.
They have already let too many in.
Eastern Europe is going to save itself by refusing to admit muslims.

As I have said since the eighties, Europe will reach a point where they snap. At that time they will slaughter their leaders and unassimilated foreigners.

There will be a generation or six of nationalist wars and then they will get to this point again.

Step 1: get rid of Merkel and her suicidal policies.

Step 2: Deport ALL mualims.

Step 3: Get rid of their unelected EU politicians and reestablish the national cultures they destroyed.

Europe has no future as anything resembling Europe with the likes of Merkel in charge.

We can hope they pull their heads out of their collective a$$e$, but it’s doubtful. Europe is farther gone than the USA.

“Does not need to be true if they do something about it.”

Very true! I recall when Romney lost, many thought America was over, that the gimmedats outnumbered the workers, etc, etc.

Well, it’s not over. With Trump we now have a chance to recover. Same goes for Europe. Their obama (Merkel), needs to be replaced. I just do not see the German people standing by and letting it happen. They are not stupid nor that docile.

The gimmedats do outnumber us.
Fortunately they are cooped up in California, NYC, and few other urban areas where they don’t contribute any electoral votes to the Democrats... for now.

Yes Europe is too far down suicide alley at this point. All the US can do is take a lesson from it.

“The choice is clear”

It isn't. They both are crap. The goal should be to replace Merkel (and Holland etc.) as the head of CDU with some sane person. The way that Trump (despite some “problems”) won as a candidate of the mainstream party. All the “alternative” parties in Europe are basically one trick ponies, they might be right on Muslims or homos but they are wrong on nearly anything else.
