The Trump Effect: Unleashing the Fury of the Northeast Elites
American Thinker ^ | December 17, 2016 | Elizabeth Nahas

A few weeks before the election, I attended a gathering at a close friend’s home. When I arrived, a woman whom I will refer to as Liane was there with her husband. Liane is ideologically to the left and divides people into categories. Last summer, she referred to Republicans as “rabid.” When my friend’s cousin, a Democrat strategist, made her entrance, Liane immediately stated, “I want to hear all about Clinton vs. Trump.” Knowing I was the only one in the room supporting Trump, I suggested we keep divisive politics out of the discussion. That did not happen. Everyone, including my friend, who is a moderate, made it clear they viewed Mr. Trump as an impulsive megalomaniac who was going to destroy the world. Later the conversation veered to Bill Clinton and his proclivities. Everyone except Liane agreed his actions were unsavory to say the least. When I mentioned something which had been widely reported, Liane responded angrily, “Just like Obama is a birther and a Muslim?” She immediately stormed away. The episode shook me to the core. As we got ready to go to a restaurant, she shouted out that she removed herself from the discussion because “there would have been blood.” Now I am no wilting flower, but I did not wish to embarrass our mutual friend. This occasion, however, was a preview of the Northeast elites’ hysteria following the victory of Donald Trump.

It’s quite clear that coexistence with these people is not possible.

Prepare accordingly.

“Just like Obama is a birther and a Muslim?”

If I remember correctly, the birther movement was started by the hillary camp during the 2008 primary. As for being a muslim, well, he is!

I've long maintained the northeastern part of the United States should be isolated, both physically and economically, until this communism thing dies out.

“There would have been blood.”
My response would have been,”It’s never too late if that’s what you really want.Either make that jump or STFU.”

The lefties are losing their power and they know it - their unreasonable anger is the proof.

Conservatives were not thrilled with Obama yet we did NOT react like this (the people in the article) for weeks and weeks.

It isn't. DJT learned about the country and the frustrations of real people with his take-it-to-the voters campaign. The liberal elite don't have a clue. The only thing that would cure them is to leave all their preconceived notions and advantages behind, and reside and try to make a living in a challenged inner city neighborhood or a depressed mining or factory town.

I'm not sure they even know they are an out-of-control elite ruling class. DJT is shaking their false narrative to its very core, and they aren't used to having their preconceived notions challenged.

Try talking to them about a valid inner city experience. I've tried to bring up the damage liberalism has done to minority neighborhoods and they've verbally slashed me. These aren't evil people; they're lifelong friends. But they just don't know how the world works for over half of the population.

Liane needs to be asked if she would like to be a martyr for the cause. Also, no friendship or family relationship is beyond reevaluation at this point. The Left wishes to subjugate or kill us all. The left is the enemy and needs to be treated with equal venom to that which is directed at conservatives.

Unleashing the Fury of the Northeast Elites

What China pattern do the Trumps serve tea with? Acceptable patterns are from Lenox, Royal Doulton, Wedgewood and Spode.

The author doesn’t really say what her response was, but I like your response.

“Just like Obama is a birther and a Muslim?”

Just like Donald Trump coordinated hacking of the DNC with Putin?
Just like the Duke Lacrosse team committed sexual assault?
Just like the ‘Republican War on Women’?
Just like the Biden telling an African American audience that Republicans want to ‘put you back in chains’?

It's a long list that goes on, and on, and on.

Read Murray’s (Bell Curve author) latest book, Coming Apart. He explains the gulf that now exists between the elite group, the Belmonts, and the rest of the classes in American society. The last 8 years have expanded this gulf. The lower classes are more removed than ever from elites, especially the bottom group which no longer works or marries. The revered middle class, in campaign talk, sees this and wants restoration of values. The elites see themselves as the caretakers of the disadvantaged but have no contact with them to know how things really are.

When a new face states facts and wants to change the course directed by the elites, they react as this article explains. They can’t believe their wisdom is being questioned by a reality TV bore turned politician; hence the anger. My brother who went to Penn with Trump is one of these.

I’m going to quibble with you a bit. To countenance evil is to be complicit in it. The time for playing nicely with them is over.

People know where I stand on this. If they disagree politely, fine. If they get TDS they’re out of my life period.

Have been going through a similar exchange with a dear friend, via Facebook. He posts daily memes from uber liberal sources, attacking Trump. I responded to each one with facts. For example, one of his posts suggested that Republicans would dismantle Social Security. My response was to cite extracts from the following How the Democrats Destroyed Social Security. He was somewhat taken aback but continued to post other memes on Trump's picks for various positions. It was time consuming and draining but for each one, I posted facts from reputable sources to demonstrate the sound qualifications of each candidate. He had no response. It's been a week now and he has finally stopped posting the memes. The one that sent him over the edge though, was this graphic ... lol!!

Why would this author subject herself to such abuse at the hands of liberals? Why would anybody?

When I left my parents' home to go on active duty in the Air Force after graduating from college, my dad gave me several items of advice to send me on my way.

One piece of advice he gave me that has stuck until this day (I'm in my 70's) was that half the people I would meet or run into in life would not like me. No matter what I did.

He told me to disregard them and focus on the half that liked me. As I got older, I took this advice more and more to heart and started to overtly eliminate people in my life that upset me, made me mad, I didn't agree with and generally were not my kind of people.

I eventually realized that these people I was walking away from could be fit into one general category. They were all political liberals. Elites, snobs, intolerant, petty, close-minded know-it-alls.

Over time, I have come to actually hate liberals, mainly because of what they have done to our lives and our country. But by eliminating them all from my personal relationships, I have a much more pleasant life now than when I had to deal with these idiots.

My advice to others? Do the same and get rid of these people who are a thorn in your side. They add nothing to your enjoyment and success in life.
