I was only addressing the GDP. Nothing else...

I believe that has to do with production, exporting, and such.

Why do you people just assume that all Californians are liberals?
One very important thing people like you should never forget; it’s your delusional, stupid, LIBERALS FROM THE NORTHEAST and MIDWEST who moved to our once conservative state for the great weather, and jobs and BROUGHT THEIR MIDWESTERN and NORTHEASTERN LIBERAL, COMMUNIST, BULLSHIT WITH THEM!
MADISON
DETROIT
PHILADELPHIA
CHICAGO
MILWAUKEE
INDIANAPOLIS
CLEVELAND
PITTSBURGH
BALTIMORE
The only FOREIGN ACCENTS I heard here growing up as a Native Californian, were from the east and midwest (you people talk like you have a mouth full of shit).
It was your festering, pustulating, diseased, relatives that came here for the weather and the aerospace, steel, movie, farm, tire manufacturing and aircraft jobs that F#CKED MY STATE UP.

My admin puts me up at the Embassy Suites across from UTC when I'm in San Diego. $153/day room, $25 parking. Food per diem is $64. Dinner at Applebee's (ceder grilled lemon chicken with pomegranate iced tea) or Bolsa (Vietnamese Pho tai, spring rolls, jasmine iced tea) runs about $18 including tip. Breakfast is a Premier Protein Chocolate shake ($5.99 for 4), Lunch Pure Protein Blueberry Yogurt bar ($2 each). I always run a surplus. Pretty much the same cost as my daily food in Pocatello. I run 1250 calories daily except for Mon/Thu at 600 calories.

If I'm being frugal, my daily food bill when traveling runs around $15 for all 3 meals.

I can't do much about the stupid room and parking. Moving away from the office for a cheaper room just trades lower room rate for more gasoline and an aggravating drive in. ComicCon forced me up to Carlsbad to get any room at all. Reminded me of why I sold the house in Mira Mesa and moved to Pocatello.

I get nailed for CA state income tax for my hours worked in San Diego. As such, I try to minimize trips and chose not to spend money in the economy aside from the food, lodging, car rental and gasoline.

I retained my employment and salary from San Diego. It goes much further in Pocatello, thus two mortgage free homes. Winter imposes some limits. It's +21F right now. Expecting a low of -10F on Saturday. Snow daily from now through next Tuesday. The Harley Fat Bob isn't getting nearly the road time that it did in San Diego, but that was mostly commuting in traffic jams as punctuation to a 10 to 15 hour work day. I still work 10 to 15 hours, but no commuting. Home office in Idaho. I had to rent a room in San Diego for 5 years with my family behind in Idaho. Saw them two weeks each year. A week in June and one in December. Thankfully that is over. My new contract could easily be steady to a retirement date.

In 3 years I believe is the kickoff date, all new construction in CA has to be net 0 energy consumption. In a nutshell, you’ll have to build out an amount of renewable energy generation equal to whatever you build will use.

I’m pretty sure that that deadline is what is driving a bunch of the building boom here at this point.

Why do you people just assume that all Californians are liberals?

Why do people like you assume that when we republicans talk about liberals in California, that we're accusing all Californians of being liberal? Where did I say all Californians are liberal?

Obviously, there are millions of Californians who voted for Trump, or didn't vote at all.

However, that the people who moved to California went there from other northern and midwestern liberal cities and states, does not change the points I made in my statements. If those same people are now thinking of moving out of California, they are not thinking of going back to the hellholes that they created originally, for the most part. Moving out of California will mean moving to other surrounding states or to states that are doing better, like Texas and Florida and others.

It was your festering, pustulating, diseased, relatives that came here

So, what the heck do you mean by "your"? I had nothing to do with the people that moved there, and I don't know any of the people that moved there. Broad generalizations are no way to defend against how California became "f@cked", like you say. And, if California is in such a "sheety" condition, what the heck are you still doing living there?

I moved away from NYC almost 30 years ago, and I was a republican then, and I'm still a republican. However, I've seen what used to be a reliably republican Florida begin to turn just as "f#cked" as California, where a lot of the transplants are now liberals fleeing NY and Michigan and Illinois and Philadelphia and Boston, and many other liberal "sheetholes". Those liberals destroyed the places they came from, but they still vote the same way they did in the places they left. That's what I fear will happen with the liberals that may leave California. So, don't take it personally, but, why even stay in a state which doesn't respect your conservative values?

CA is dying under a wave of crime, high prices, insane regulation, and stupid leadership.

Nonsense. California is UTOPIA!!

Or so my lib relatives believe....

Good on you for making the move to get out. I did the same thing 11 years ago. Best thing I ever did for my family and my business.

So hawt..! So fun and free..! You can do anything you want..!

But don't throw a frisbee or football outside a specially marked zone on ANY public beach in LA County, cuz there's a $100 fine.

Expensive, huh..?

That was a lie, the ticket is ONE THOUSAND DOLLARS.

Yeah, google it.

"Nearly 60 percent of California voters with children living at home agree with the statement, “my children will have a better future if they leave California.” More than 75 percent now think “earning enough income to enjoy a middle-class lifestyle is becoming almost impossible in my part of California.” In Los Angeles County, it’s 87 percent."

I'm a native of Los Angeles County. I saw the above handwriting on the wall around the time of GWB's second term.

Having lived there all my life, it wasn't hard to look at the worsening conditions around me, and forecast forward, to get a sense of what Cali would be like when my kids came of age.

The vision that came to me, was apocalyptic and frightening.

That's all it took for me to make up my mind to get out. I moved the family to Texas in late 2005, and never looked back.

>Won’t get it until Californians wise up, and dislodge the entrenched Democrat beast consuming this state.

That became effectively impossible when illegals where given the right to vote.

how the dems conquered the state is quite instructive. First they drove out the middle class jobs in the rural areas through environmental regulation. Then they drove out the middle class jobs from the cities through mass immigration. No middle class, no Republicans.
