The Archbishop of Canterbury has said it is time to stop repeating the popular politically correct mantra that ISIS has nothing to do with Islam. In a speech delivered in Paris last week, during a ceremony in which he was awarded an honorary doctorate, he argued that If we treat religiously-motivated violence solely as a security issue, or a political issue, then it will be incredibly difficult probably impossible to overcome it. He went on to say: Until religious leaders stand up and take responsibility for the actions of those who do things in the name of their religion, we will see no resolution words of sense and truth from the Archbishop which prompted a number of headlines delighting in the politically incorrect nature of his comments.

Sensible words from the Archbishop of Canterbury! Hooray!
This is not the first time he spoke of it. I think he is seriously getting ready to lay some smack down! HA!
How on earth did he become head of today’s Anglican Church? I thought being a moronic liberal was a job requirement.
It’s like the whole world is gradually waking up from a nightmare and finally seeing reality.
He's a freaking Jihadi!
The Queen must agree....b/s she is the Church Of England.
“... words of sense and truth from the Archbishop which prompted a number of headlines delighting in the politically incorrect nature of his comments.”
‘... the politically incorrect nature of his comments’
Whaaa??
One example of his politically incorrect comments :
‘... he argued that If we treat religiously-motivated violence solely as a security issue, or a political issue, then it will be incredibly difficult probably impossible to overcome it.
Politically incorrect? How is politically incorrect defined today? By what measure? I thought the Archbishop missed an opportunity simply because he is a wuss! Leaders seize opportunities like that and wussies disappoint me every single time.
The devil, he said!
This sounds like the truth. To revel in the arm of flesh is to fail, fail, fail.
What God says is the most “politically incorrect” thing of all.
At last! He has finally taken a firm stand on an issue, may he soon do the same on sexuality within the Anglican Church.
When sufferers from the results of sex perversion sin start seeing widespread release (from both sin and its results) once more through the power of Christ, this will become notable once more.
This goes beyond “therapy” and in fact really isn’t “therapy” at all. It’s frank, outright spiritual study and exercise.
Isis has Everything to do with Islam. It is an honest expression of what Islam teaches. yes, there are more peaceable Moslems too. But Isis is what the Koran instructs (at least in its “later” parts, after Mohammed abandoned his peaceable life to become a paid warrior or mercenary raider, attacker, conquerer).
He has been a surprise, both good and bad. This is one of the good. Meanwhile the Anglican Communion is barely hanging together and he has been terriblty wishy washy about sexual issues that divide them. Pressure is being applied on him by the African, and other global south, bishops who stand for scriptural marriage. May he do the right thing there too.
Might as well ask your neighborhood imam what’s his opinion of transubstantiation.
The guys in ISIS are Muslims, and the guys in CAIR are Muslims, and the guys watching the big ole black rock in Mecca are Muslims, and they all might disagree on various doctrinal points in Islam, but at least they’ve got some standing in the matter.
If the Archbishop of Canterbury isn’t a Muslim, and if Barack Obama isn’t a Muslim, and if Hillary Clinton isn’t a Muslim, their opinion on what constitutes Islam is worth about as much as the latest Ayatollah’s view of which Catholic bishops should be promoted to Cardinal.
Absolutely right. Let’s start calling a spade a spade. And we must begin tallying outright acts of terrorism, killing, etc by all races. The FBI was doing that for years... I wonder how they are doing it now that Obama has been suppressing this information.
