WASHINGTON Like no other part of the Republican establishment, the partys foreign policy luminaries joined in opposition to the idea of a Donald J. Trump presidency.
Loyal Republicans who served in the two Bush administrations, they appeared on television and wrote op-eds blasting him. They aligned under a Never Trump banner and signed a letter saying they were convinced that he would be a dangerous president and would put at risk our countrys national security and well-being.

My ADVICE IS NOT TO HIRE ANY FORMER-BUSH CONNECTED PROSPECT.
Buzz off Traitors.
More Trump Train Hobos trying to stay on the DC gravy train and be relevant.
Just say no to the Bush neocons.
I hear John Bolton’s name being thrown out there as a possible Secretary of State, but I know he has ties to a lot of these Bush connected neocons. I’m almost sure Bolton is in their ranks. We can’t keep going down that warmonger road with neocons in charge of our foreign policy apparatus.
These snakes don’t deserve a place in his Administration.
They made it perfectly clear what side they were on.
And they’re weasels, too.
Note to anyone with the incoming Trump administration:
I applied at the website “greatagain.gov” today. I have never, ever applied for any government job, but I would love to work for the government now.
I will work, and work, and work.
I am currently in Vietnam, where I am studying the Vietnamese language. But I am just studying, I can start work immediately.
You can probably figure out who I am, if you want to contact me. I sure hope so.
Jim Thompson, I know FR is not a job posting site. I won’t post any more about this. But I really, really want to work for this administration. I have absolutely no background in government. I did work with computers for 20 years though.
Thanks. Over and out.
I can’t wait until Trump walks around the IRS building saying “YOU’RE FIRED!”
I think he is a good, logical hard realist, but his connection to the Bushes doesn’t create any good will in me for him. IMO, we need a break from the old and a connection to the sense of abandonment that drive by America has had for this government. And in my opinion he was part of that regardless of how great he his.
this was a nothing burger of an article.
The NYT has really regressed as a journalist organization in the last 10 year.
If they worked for either Bush or are a part of the in-club they need to be avoided. The Bush family is as much a stain on the country as the Clintons with their liberalism.
You better get the founder of FR’s name right before sending us your resume.
I think maybe, that is a pseudonym of his. ;D
Just saying.
A bunch of Bush neocons itching to start another war.
Why would he want a bunch of losers who got everything wrong? Maybe they can get jobs with the Clinton Foundation.
