The Maine Background Checks for Gun Sales Measure, also known as Question 3, was on the November 8, 2016, ballot in Maine as an indirect initiated state statute. It was defeated.
The Nevada Background Checks for Gun Purchases Initiative, also known as Question 1, was on the November 8, 2016, ballot in Nevada as an indirect initiated state statute. It was approved.
California approved a measure that outlaws possession of large-capacity ammunition magazines, requires background checks for ammunition sales and allows the state to immediately remove firearms from people who have been convicted of a felony or violent misdemeanor. Washington state also approved a measure that allows judges to issue orders enabling authorities to temporarily seize guns from people who are deemed a threat to themselves or others.

We fared poorly on gun rights referendums in California (no duh), Washington (again, no duh), and Nevada (surprising!). Maine rejected a Intergalactic Multidimensional Universal background check law.
We had some losses this year on firearms.

Not happy. Trump needs to appoint the sort of SCOTUS judges that will slap this silly s*** down.

Nevada was outspent about 20 to 1, I understand.
They came close to winning.

Isn't there a lot of Californian's that have moved to Nevada these days? That would help explain that and why Clinton took Nevada.

And I firmly believe he will do just that.
Will the GOPe play ball?
That remains to be seen...but those who don’t should prepare to be PRIMARIED into oblivion.

we have cancelled our investment in Nevada
....and will not be moving there.
Nevada voted for HilLIARy, too.
And Nevada has the lying corruptoid Reid as its US senator.
sorry Silver Staters but you appear to have LOST your beautiful state to the leftist cabal (maybe you should pick up and move your state further from Los Angeles, or else just give Vegas to Californication?)
We love ya, otherwise....

King County is a liberal bastion that drives most idiocy within the state. everyone else is effectively held hostage by the bs emanating from King County/Seattle.

They do not go into effect for 1 to 2 years and we should have these outrageous infringements overturned by then.

So, the Maine and Nevada ones were about forcing background checks on private firearms sales, right?
Well, we were infected with that nonsense in 2013,
and murders went up 71% in 2013.
If the enemedia were a little bit honest, they would run headlines that read, "Bloomberg pays for higher murder rates in Nevada and Maine.

"Maine and Nevada ones were about forcing background checks on private firearms sales, right?" No. That is what they sell it to the public as, but the law actually covers sales AND TRANSFERS.
If Uncle Joe wants to give his nephew a shotgun for Christmas, a background check has to be done. Now, Uncle Joe knows that his nephew is qualified to be a gun owner better than the organization running the background check, so the background check on transfer clause accomplishes nothing except to establish a paper trail as to who owns firearms..ultimately in order to confiscate them.
We Washington gun onwers need to begin pressuring the legislature to amend the law to apply ONLY TO SALES, and drop the "transfers" business completely.

We fled SoCal for E Tennessee in 2015. Absolutely the best thing we ever did and just in time. My darling husband just bought me not one, but two new guns with no idiotic waiting period.

County by county, in NV, the only county that it passed in was clark county. None of the others passed it but they had enough to put them over by around ten thousand votes. Pretty sad for NV. Then again, it's an infringement. 🔫 😡

The NRA took advantage of Nevada as a stronghold and put no money into anything, and the entire state was lost.
Now it’s time to get to work for 2018.

The answer is not to move. It is to push back aginst the ideology pushed onto you.

---the Reid machine (mostly the Culinary Workers union and the SEIU) can beat the rest of the state by controlling Clark County.
Both the NRA and the local group tried but didn't have enough funds to beat the millions of Bloomberg--
