Washington (CNN)Donald Trump leads Hillary Clinton by 7 points in Iowa, according to a Des Moines Register poll of likely voters released Saturday evening. The poll found Trump with 46% to Clinton's 39%, while Libertarian Gary Johnson and the Green Party's Jill Stein caught 6% and 1% of likely voters, respectively.

About 5% of respondents said they did not want to disclose their choice; 2% said they would vote for someone else or not at all, and the remaining 1% said they weren't sure or didn't remember. Sixty eight percent of respondents said they were unhappy with their choices in this election. Trump's 7-point lead exceeds the poll's margin of error, suggesting a comfortable position for the Republican leading into the closing days of the election. However, two of the most recent Iowa polls showed a near-even race.

Wow is right, but just waiting for the assortment of concern trolls, NeverTrumpers and Democrat infiltrators who post here to tell us about how all is lost because of vote fraud, etc, etc....

Does anyone know where Obama v Romney stood, at this time, in the same Iowa poll? My thinking is that there is enough white Liberal suppression across different states to make all the difference this time! Let’s hope!!

This election is a test for democracy. Voters elect people who reflect their values and aspirations. If a majority of American voters support an inherently dishonest, shamelessly corrupt criminal Hillary Clinton, then it will be apparent that America has devolved into a post Christian, neo pagan era of hedonistic decadence. It will suffer the historic fate of other previously great civilizations.

Final 2012 poll by the same agency was 46-41 Obama-Romney. Actual vote share was 52-46, so the margin of victory was off by 1%.

Think about this. In 2000, Gore barely won Iowa. Gore barely won the popular vote. Could Iowa be a bellwether?

Chin up, factor Indies into the Nevada early vote and it is in no way unwinnable. Trump up 5-6 in two recent Nevada polls as well.

funny how the media are not pointing out that, instead they have GA, TX as swing states, and that includes FOX which has become a no watch channel for us here.
