Even as turmoil in insurance markets nationwide fuels renewed election-year attacks on the Affordable Care Act, California is emerging as a clear illustration of what the law can achieve.
The state has recorded some of the nations most dramatic gains in health coverage since 2013 while building a competitive insurance marketplace that offers consumers enhanced protections from high medical bills.

You mean working people. 14 million Californians on Medi-Cal means 14 million Hilary voters.
‘Gains in health coverage’
But losses in actual care. This country is at it’s tipping point. California is NOT the model the rest of the States should follow.
They ginned up enough of a socialist spirit to get it not to fail in the ludicrous category.
Of course that, as the greenies like to say, is unsustainable.
“The state has recorded some of the nations most dramatic gains in health coverage since 2013 while building a competitive insurance marketplace that offers consumers enhanced protections from high medical bills.”
Great. Let Mexifornia have its own CommieCare program and abandon the disastrous, unconstitutional “Affordable” Care Act.
Democrat playbook: When the truth is working against you make up some “facts”. Write an article based on these “facts.” Repeat.
This works.
... not to fail NOW.
When the bill appears the potemkin village will be repossessed... with torches & pitchforks
Would not work without an Uncle Sugar subsidy. If California actually had to make socialism go on its lonesome...
Um...we live in California.
ObamaCare Bronze Plan with Anthem Blue Cross.
Just got a letter telling us Premiums were going up about 31%.
So.....Rrriggghhhttt...sure.
BTW, Bronze started with 5k annual deductable...next to 6k and last yr to 6.5k....meaning 1st $6,500 comes out of your wallet before ObamaCare pays anything....

“Let Mexifornia have its own CommieCare program”
That California finances with its own money.
p.s. Pre-ObamaCare, we got better coverage at about half the price. Other issue is finding a doctor who will take it. Calif is a Dem State unfortunately, so sanity will never return....
And now they’re asking that illegals be allowed into the program. Next, they’ll be asking for subsidies for the squatters on Obamacare, giving failing CA another pipeline to the pockets of taxpayers in sane states run by Republican governors. Too bad we can’t kick some of these Democrat states out of the union.
“Just got a letter telling us Premiums were going up about 31%.”
Liberals don’t care what it costs you. They only care about the “poor” whose premiums are subsidized. Those receiving subsidies are insulated against cost increases. To a liberal, if you aren’t eligible for a subsidy you deserve to pay increasing rates.
Well it's your own fault for making too much money.

Like the two are mutually exclusive.
Well in some sense a lot of it manages to be Little Mexico.
A buddy’s daughter lives in Mexico proper, just across the border from her American job. Pays Mexican rent, earns American wages... that can be sustained, for now.
This wasn’t even a good way to do out and out welfare, which the Dems should confess was the real goal. Way more overhead than necessary, hires an army of bureaucrats to oversee it. Wait, that is also a welfare program.
>>Gains in health coverage

I don’t know why more people don’t focus on this aspect. The original problem (according to the Democrats) was that a lot of Americans could not see a doctor; they weren’t getting medical care.
Did the Democrats build more medical schools? No.
Did the Democrats find a way to get more doctors? No.
Did the Democrats find a way to get more nurses? No.
The Democrats did NOTHING to create more actual care.
But they gave people “coverage”. They gave people “insurance”.
That’s redistribution of wealth and nothing but redistribution of wealth. There is no medical component in ObamaCare. It’s not about the actual care, it’s about “coverage”, meaning: money.
No one wanted that. But that’s all that was offered.
A Federal program means other states are paying for California via tax payers, not only in California but, in other states.
Good points, hope Trump is getting them.

Same thing isn’t it?
As others have noted: they just makin crap up now....
Like giving the hungry plates that have pictures of food painted on them... and at the expense of a fund that could have actually procured more food, too!
This is where the liberal (in the original sense) conservative is needed. One who can couch the issue in terms of universally understood canons of caring, and yet does not fall for the image over the substance.
