PRESIDENTIAL POLLS: Trump in shock loss on TV debate but still in race for the White House
(UK) Express ^ | September 27, 2016 | Patrick Christys

The vast majority of viewers who tuned in to the clash between the candidates thought Clinton cruised to a resounding victory, heaping pressure on Trump to perform at the next debate on October 9.

In total, 62 per cent of viewers thought Clinton won the debate, which covered topics such as fighting Islamic State and dealing with race relations in America.

Surprisingly, only 27 per cent of debate watchers felt Trump’s performance was the most impressive.

However, the CNN/ORC poll of viewers who watched the debate from home is understood to include more Democrats than Republicans, which is not a fault of the TV channel's information gathering approach, rather a representation of which political demographic is more likely to vote in snap polls.

Yup, 22 US polls show that Trump won. Who cares what the Brits think. They have a Muslim mayor in London destroying their country.

Daily Mail; “Hillary Goes Low”.

That’s a different spin.

I thought Trump did well on the birther issue; I think he did okay; I see some analysis out there.

The news here in Aust. was that Hilary “survived” the Presidential debate - I took that as liberal code for her getting her rather enormous behind handed to her!

I was infuriated by Hillary’s filthy lie about the birther issue being based in racism. That was deplorable.

Apparently, The Express can’t be bothered to consult the polls.

Not only did Hillary lose but she’s ugly to boot.

See, we can play too.

MRC’s Brent Bozell: Trump Should ‘Raise Hell’ Over Lester Holt Lobbing ‘Softballs’ to Hillary ‘All Night’

After issuing a statement late Monday night blasting Lester Holt’s job as presidential debate moderator, Media Research Center president Brent Bozell joined the Fox Business Network’s late-night coverage and urged Donald Trump to “raise hell” over Holt “pitch[ing] softballs to Hillary Clinton all night long.”

Host Neil Cavuto turned to Bozell around the 12:48 a.m. Eastern mark for his thoughts on Holt and Bozell promptly went to his “scorecard” on Holt’s relentless hardballs and follow-ups to Trump versus those to Clinton.

It will just sound like Sore Loser stuff if he does. He should never have agreed to any moderator from the MSM.

Trump will just let his surrogates complain and move onto the next debate, which will be moderated by terribly biased Anderson Cooper and ABC’s Martha Radditz, who was not terrible in 2012.

The only hope for any sort of real fairness will be the third debate, which will be moderated by Chris Wallace. Wallace will be tough and fair on both sides.

Holt was terrible. Lobbing softballs to Hillary while grilling Trump on utter nonsense.

The comment at that article I posted said, Holt made it look like Hillary needed help in the debate. Yes, that is the takeaway.

So, I think you are right, Trump should do nothing to sound like a sore loser. Maybe there is some way to approach the topic.

Or take it in stride and just get on with the next campaign stop.

Yup.

Trump knows exactly what he is up against and he has a good feel for his opponent.

He won, which sets him up well going into the final rounds.

And he is a far stronger position than Mitt was in 2012 since Mitt arrived as a challenger while Trump is the front-runner.

I agree that Trump should say nothing about Holt from this point forward.

Remember -- Trump is in the television business. People like Lester Holt work for people like Donald Trump. Complaining about someone who is an employee makes you sound like a completely ineffective boss.

I don’t know if Anderson Cooper could be as big of a sap as Holt was. I’ve already seen Anderson Cooper interview Trump, the one on one went okay.

Of all things, speaking of CNN, the much maligned and former CNN personality Piers Morgan, per Trump’s list of endorsements, actually endorsed Trump.

http://www.foxnews.com/opinion/2016/03/23/piers-morgan-welcome-to-team-trump.html

It must have been covered here but I missed it. Good for Piers.

Totally agree. Nothing in the debate would make someone switch sides.

If a person were truly undecided before, they're probably undecided now.

However, the strength of Trump in the online polling is further indication of the enthusiasm gap.
